This band has a great message and read letters from fans.They stayed after the concert to talk and spread the gospel further,what a wonderful ministry in music to a hurting world! my pastor actually talked about the meaning of the song. He said it means that people are so scared of being hurt that they box themselves in walls and never talk to anyone. They isolate and in turn, people ignore them. he also said that when people only talk about either having a perfect or having a terrible life like this song, that it is not true. no one is perfect, and we live in America so how bad can it be? the song is going out to all the homeless who dont get to enjoy Americas advantages

Not necessarily. Unless you talked to Seventh Day Slumber about this song in person, you can never be totally sure who they meant this song to. That's probably just your pastor's interpretation. I'm not saying that he's wrong, but this is music. There can be millions or even billions of different interpretations because each person is affected by art differently. Yes, the band probably had a specific person or group of people in mind when they wrote this song, but art is about interpretation.
