After you get to the eastern edge of the base (before you swim across the lake), you can turn around and head back to the jeep. You have to make a pretty long jump, but if you do, when you get back just hit B in front of the jeep and you'll get the ending.

this is ok but the Shaun Barrowes one is way better and fits the game better
