  • Comhaltas sessiuns are too regimented, therefore, despite the quality of the musicians, can be very lifeless. Shame!

  • I was in a pub a while ago, and a group like this came in, sat next to us, and started playing some epic Irish music! All pubs should be like this - what an atmosphere!

  • That was a nice group session!

    Maggie

  • the grandpa with the banjo is the best guy xD

  • Irish music will never die!

  • y'man here's got a point, as sessions go the passion isn't as noticable as a lot i've sat in. that's not to knock the players or anything just seems like something is missing. to be honest i think it might be the venue, it's too big for the sessions i enjoy.

  • This was an impromptu session where those playing probably never played together before, it turned out excellent and it would appear everyone enjoyed it,

(you wont find passion in a crowd that size - go for the soloist).

  • you may mistake passion with emotion?

  • You are witnessing pure passion. Listen don't look.

  • Can't wait till I move to Ireland! Only two more weeks!

  • tis grand to be Irish

  • I think its: 'the stoat that stole me sandels'.

  • It's either "the stoat that ATE me sandals" or "mammy's horse is diein'" LOL (neither are actual name)

  • You ignorant git, red hair isn't a common hair colour for Irish people.

  • That was wonderful.

  • Great, help spread a dumb stereotype, why didnt you mention the lack of leprechauns in the vid?

  • All stereotypes have some truth, red hair is more common in Ireland than anywhere else.

  • Yeah but cmon, I dont look at american vids & say where are all the fat people..

  • No it isn't. Scotland has the highest percentage of red heads in the world, followed by the Irish.

  • @folanm hmmm Turkey / Syria etc has more red heads than either.. lol
