I was in a pub a while ago, and a group like this came in, sat next to us, and started playing some epic Irish music! All pubs should be like this - what an atmosphere!
y'man here's got a point, as sessions go the passion isn't as noticable as a lot i've sat in. that's not to knock the players or anything just seems like something is missing. to be honest i think it might be the venue, it's too big for the sessions i enjoy.
This was an impromptu session where those playing probably never played together before, it turned out excellent and it would appear everyone enjoyed it,
(you wont find passion in a crowd that size - go for the soloist).
this is some really good music..here in savannah we have the 2nd largest st.patty's day festival in the u.s...where's all the red hair? lol..I think it's all in my family..lol..terrific music..I don't know why I decided to play the trumpet 20 years ago..haha..5 stars..thanks..your bud..DOUGHOWELL
Comhaltas sessiuns are too regimented, therefore, despite the quality of the musicians, can be very lifeless. Shame!

Great, help spread a dumb stereotype, why didnt you mention the lack of leprechauns in the vid?
StrawbsShadow 3 years ago
All stereotypes have some truth, red hair is more common in Ireland than anywhere else.

No it isn't. Scotland has the highest percentage of red heads in the world, followed by the Irish.
