Thanks a lot for the inspiration, man! Been playing this for an hour now. Had only played it with the open tuning so far but most of the time I cannot be bothered to tune my guitar to open d. So this is perfect! Thanks!
That's what a good strat tone should sound like. I just watched some D'pergo $7K strat video and the road worns I've played and this one here, sounds better!
lol, you're saying that because you've read it everywhere, because in this video you cant see the neck clearly cause of the quality, and possibly you haven't seen a real 50's Strat.
i've been to the guitar center in hollywood, i've seen plenty 50s road worn strats and and i have seen plenty of vintage 50s strats, a whole wall in fact, and they are much different. besides maple does not age or fade like that no matter how much you've played it. rosewood maybe more likely but not maple.
I bought a 50's....stays in tune good. Pickups are good, light, I dig the finish. A nice light resonant guitar with a good vibe which is why I bought it. However 8 frets were needing work plus the nut slots were cut too low. So people, inspect these guitars carefully. It's taking $200 to get it put right. (I knew it would need this when I bought it).Just wanted you to know what you are getting into.
I came to hear the guitar, I stayed for the great playing...
