@Lrdvltr not very much. If you can, get it on pc (or mac). The 360 version has NO updates, whereas the pc/mac version has 273 updates (and counting), one of the absolute best online communities, and just tons and tons of added weapons and maps. It's the most well balanced class multiplayer game i've ever played, and on top of that, it's just terrrificly fun!

you can go for the 360 version, but i would not recommend it.

You're just a console boy. If you have any experience gaming with a mouse and keyboard, you will never prefer controllers, especially in first person shooters. And the games in the orange box have never crashed for me, lol. Clearly the PC version is superior in every aspect. There's even no room for opinion there, it's a fact :)

Half life is great but it needs a few contol changes imo.

1. A melee attack that can be used whenever, not just with the crowbar equipped.

2. Being able to throw grenades with the push of a button without having to switch weapons.

@poopstain742 Sorta and not really. I played hl2 without playing the first, and it was still amazing, but looking back, i would have like to play the first to get the back story. There are alot of references you start to understand, but its not quite the same.

For those of us who haven't playd half life? Any one who hasn't played half life is either a casual gamer, or hardcore ignorant cod fanboy that doesn't give any other games a chance. Or is just a plain dumbass and doesn't deserve to be called a gamer. And yes for me being called a gamer is a privilege that you earn. Just because you play em doesn't make you a gamer. Its kinda like flying a helicopter once in your life and then calling yourself a pilot. "Pilot" is something you earn.

Games like Call of Duty got a lot of people to play games that wouldn't normally play any games at all. Call of Duty seems to appeal to a broader audience. I love playing games with deep stories but I also really like playing mindless shooters. It really just depends on what I'm in the mood for.
