  • Where's the feed?

  • Jesus man learn not to over use effects. Your sections are way too short and the animations make it horrible to read!!!

  • Hey i want a simple bot that creates accounts to follow me. I dont care if there real people or not just wanting to boost my followers if you reply back and tell me how to make one or know one i can use preferably free i will give you a iTunes giftcard or something else if youd like it.

  • @AllJailbreaks That's next to impossible.

  • h t t p : / / spn.tw / 5nvs - MAKE MONEY BY TWEETING ON TWITTER! I GET PAID $1.85 PER TWEET! CHECK IT OUT! ITS REALLY USEFUL WHEN YOU NEED A BIT OF MONEY. I EARN SO MUCH, I DON'T HAVE TO WORK! MAKING TWEETS ON TWITTER IS MY JOB! IT CAN BE YOURS TO! JUST CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE START OF THIS COMMENT! (REMOVE SPACES)

  • What is with the fancy flying screen? Less gimmicks please, not professional.

  • never worked for me

  • This Pipes recipe is an adaptation of my script documented at ryan price media dot com

This one is simpler, but I showed how to track more than one keyword from your list of follows, instead of search.

  • this works great ONCE or a few times. Eventually pipes returns a "unable to fetch" "420 error" which from a few google searches is a result of hitting twitter search too much/often (rate limit by twitter)....so eventually updates to twitter STOP! Completely!

Hmm...perhaps counter retweet bot intelligence by twitter?? LOL

    Anyone have a workaround?

  • @2reallyboredguys. IF you somehow get it to work plz share thanks

  • MY BOT IS NOT SPACING AFTER THE @NAME HOW DO I FIX I ADDED "THE 2010 AND - " STILL NOT SPACING ANY SUGGESTIONS?

  • @icegad same

  • Why it always shows @/ USERNAME in my timeline?

  • It only works when the regex doesn't transform 2010 to space-, so the tweets have @name2010 to them

  • Feedurl A feed needs to contain publish dates or GUIDs in order to work with twitterfeed, see twitterfeed faq

  • same, it seems this has stopped working as-is

  • It says i need guid date or som, ething help plaes quick!

  • thank you this helped a lot

  • Yes, the music and video effects are slightly annoying, but it was very much worth the 3:01 minutes of my life to watch it. Thank you for sharing.

  • Nevermind, I made one, I'm so psyched :)

  • This is not a rock vide... it's a tutorial. I wish you'd stop with the video effects, & the music. This is un-watchable.

  • It's really sad that you're wasting a great tutorial with annoying sound and useless visual effects (which make the content far less readable).

  • For some reason my bots are still posting things in other language. In the video you put Does not contain "En" But in the CC you said Contains "En" which one do I do to ensure it posts in english?

  • thanks for the info on creating a twitter autobot, it works

  • one of the best, and EASIEST tutorials on auto retweet feeds. i looked elsewhere already and this is the spot.

  • Will this auto @reply to someone when they mention a certain keyword?

    Thanks.

  • Fun and mind blowing concept. Auto retweeting tweet. That's more fun - also fascinating auto tweet silliness.

  • Is it Twitterfeed that doesn't validate the RSS? Try Tweetbots. Let me know if it works...

  • @screencastpro I dont see any associated feed!!! what do you mean tweetbot?

  • Can't Validate the RSS, get an Invalid email address error on Feed Validator. Any thoughts?

  • i don't understand the Yahoo Pipes thing... D:

  • on the first filter I don't get the item.content.content option.

  • Dude, you can watch the video in HD, and pause it anytime with the spacebar! I think you can figure this out.

  • type it in

  • for some reason if it's a short tweet, it starts the tweet over again. did i do something wrong?

  • you can see what i mean at twitter slash leavechasebank

  • I can't really explain this, but try Tweetbots, and see if you are experiencing the same issue.

I like your Twitter account btw ;)

  • The retweets are not formatted correctly...this is an example of how they are appearing ...

    " RT @tajr1982Maybe I'm the only one excited. "

So it is not placing a space after the username, therefore it is posting such that the username includes the next word. This makes the link to their profile invalid.

How do I fix this in Yahoo Pipes?

  • It seems that this is due to the way Twitter has the site formatted.

Is there any way to configure Pipes so that a space is automatically entered after the "@username" ??? Would greatly appreciate any help.

  • Yea, you actually have the answer in the video (at least one possible answer). In the string builder, it tells you to add the published year, and then in the 'regex' module, replace 2009 by " -" (space symbol).

Just don't forget to replace this by 2010 next year, and it should keep working great!

  • I indeed have the " -" formatted as in the video, however, it continues to retweet posts with this formatting....

    " RT @tajr1982Maybe I'm the only one excited. "

There should be a space before "Maybe". How can I fix this, what should I check or double check in Pipes?

  • Just wondering if anyone has found a solution to this problem yet?

  • excellent tutorial, but the video needs to be slowed down a bit

  • Thank to Youtube, you can watch the video in a new window, and play/pause with the spacebar, so I just figure speed is not really an issue with those tools in hand.

  • This doesn't seem to work for me, problem with pipes. Once the feed is published it isn't updating. My error?

  • I'm having the same issue....can the video author please help?

  • It self corrected after about 10 hours.

  • I think there has been an issue with Twitterfeed. I have a link to an article that can be helpful on this issue. It's in the sidebar. Youtube blocks my comments if I share the url...

  • interesting tutorial but the 'special effects' are super distracting.

  • Thanks for the feedbacks. My clients also share the same comments on the animations, but I think that without animations, you wouldn't watch the video until the end...

  • I disagree, I'm actually genuinely interested in learning about things like this and I do not feel that the animations, which are superfluous to the demonstration, are entirely necessary. The animations actually had the reverse affect you hoped for and caused me to stop watching it halfway through. Content is King, the content is cool, but the animations are not.

  • Ok, while I am not ready to get rid of the animations, I will take your feedback and make the animations softer and smoother from now on.

    Thanks!
