In order to play this in the same key as the recording, you have to have the capo on the fourth fret, not third. And then keep all the chords/finger positions the same, just moved up a fret. This is, I believe, half a step lower.
Excellent instruction, thank you very much! If I could offer one humble suggestion: pan back at times so we know what fret you're on. I have a nylon string with smaller neck, less frets, so trying to adapt your picking. But thanks for sharing.
I've watched two other videos and so far the capo has been on F2 and F6. I asume this makes a difference to the chords being playing, not focusing on the pitch (Male/Female singer) This is great, thank you very much!
Thanks Steve, I too Love Lyndsey's fingerpicking style and have decided to forgo the pick for awhile and just develop the dexterity to finger pick first. The first song I focussed on was landslide, using concert footage on utube of Lyndsey playing the song and now I'm learning Storms, but I would love your input on this if you could, as the open tuning has me a little stumped, I have subscribed to your tutorials and like your patience and clarity while teaching, Thanks

Lyndsey's finger picking style at time was like a Banjo player.
For one Steve to anther your great.
the banjo style is more the the Chain and Gold dust woman.
He was a great singer as well.
Thanks for sharing Steve
