  • I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite song on Youtube.

  • Wow, Mordin Solus actually did a good job imitating this.

  • I LOVE THIS!!! hahahahaha!!!

  • It's Nathan Petrelli!

  • Sounds kind of like the Llama llama song... o.O Or the dolphin song...

  • @Horser01 Uhh, no. Those sound kind of like this - not the other way around.

  • @Supermassively Ooookaaay... Whatever... Since I had listened to those long before I ever even heard of this, I said that this reminded me of them... Because I knew them first... Besides, if they sound similair, it doesn't matter which comes first, they still remind you of the other. No need to get touchy over it...

  • This is so gay.. but gay funny so cool with that..jajaja..

  • This is damn good.

  • yes it was gilbert who changed the word to mauser he did update his words once in a while

  • I believe in the original text it was a Chassepot Rifle. I'm guessing someone changed it to Mauser Rifle because it's easier to sing.

  • Been listening to this all day. Hilarious. He sings so well. And he's handsome to boot.

  • This guy is fuuuuuuunny.

  • i love his facial expressions XD

    very well done

  • great!

  • Equal to Drew Forsythe.

  • Awesome, one of the better remditions of this song.

  • dude your excellent...

your voice is great...your diction is nice and crisp...and your facial expressions are strong and engaging...

could you please watch me sing the Pirate King song on my profile and tell me what i can improve on?

  • Beautiful

  • I came to this video because I was searching for Tom Lehrer's: The Elements

    AWESOME SONGS!!!

  • Awesome!

I'm playing this as a solo on xylo for band :D

  • funny facial expressions

  • exellent! I'm going to favourite this!

  • that microphone makes him look like the joker at the beginning...

  • ha i agree

  • Oh I totally agree - his wife is very lucky. :D

  • beautiful voice, and pretty beautiful man lol

  • he pronuses the line "when i can tell mauser rifle from a javilin" wrong he pronunces it mooser not maowser listen and ask your parents or partner how to pronuce it the'll pronunce it maowser

  • if you learn how to spell the word "pronounce" correctly, maybe your comments would be taken seriously...

  • well i'm not exactly perfect unlike you but still listen to him i'm not sure where he was brought up but every one says "maowser" rifle not "mooser".

  • Who CARES!! enjoy the excellent performance and stop nit picking insignificant pronunciation!

  • That was in reply to;

    FinalFreek

he pronuses the line "when i can tell mauser rifle from a javilin" wrong he pronunces it mooser not maowser listen and ask you"

  • morser....

  • FinalFreak posted; I nit pick becuase i've watched 3 performaces of pirates of penzance and they all pronounce it mowser rifle meanwhile he pronocues it mooser which leads me to think he's gerordie or"

Again, its easy to be an armchair opera singer isnt it?- WHO CARES, but YOU! if you feel you can sing it better do a VIDEO and stick it up, but stop slamming the guy for a MINUTE nothing of a pronunciation that you dont approve of. Put your video where your slams are if you can do better.

  • actually, it was first chassepot riffle but then changed =P

  • He's English, not unlike the creators of the song. I do believe that means he is most likely in the right with his choice of pronunciation. I shall restrain myself from nitpicking at your spelling capabilities.

  • what do you mean the CREATORS of the song? Sir Arthur sullivan and Mr. William Shwenk Gilbert were english and the finest victorian operetta wrighters in the whole of the biritish empire. they where born english and died english. Now am I to understand sir that you are accusing them of being not of english birth?

  • I said quite the opposite of accusing them of not being English. I simply stated that I believe the English singer is most likely pronouncing the English word written by English composers correctly. I do not understand how you mangled my words that obscenely. I'm sorry you took offense to the word, "creator."

  • I haven't taken offence of the word creator becuase that what they did together. proberly i was pronouced as it is on here but i'd like to ask a german how they pronocue the word (with it being a german company that makes the mentioned rifle)

  • I think the issue's with the double negative. Anyway, just watch the darn video!

  • Pronuce?

  • sullivan was irish and sicilian- that was just enough to make him competent to write opera

  • two thumbs down

  • I'm totally doing this piece for an audition to the voice major program at BYU (chances of making it are about 5 in 1000 or so, gaxxx). So seeing it done in classical voice is VERY helpful for reference/studying! Except I'm a tenor. Somehow those lows will work for me...

  • brilliant excellent stunning God save us

  • Hah... love the facial expressions!!

Not to mention he's quite good looking and I love his voice!

  • Ha ha cool,

  • ...I don't like him :/

  • meh, hes ok. i think its just that his voice doesnt really fit the song, if u know wat i mean.

  • so true

  • i agree he's more of a grand oprea baraitone not light opera.
