  • sound like McDonald's

  • the payloader operator busted the hydralic line that's why it is spraying hydralic fluid out

  • thats how gay guys feel in the morning.

  • should have slept in,or called in sick.

  • man its nice n hard!!! lol!!!

  • at about 2mins 56 do i see a hydrolic line bein punctured?

  • this is why we dont use those trucks, but olmost only rear-loaders cause of the wall unload everything.. :P

  • This is poorly designed garbage truck.

  • @polka23dot no, actually Heil makes pretty good refuse bodies, if anything it was the large ammount of garbage at each stop this day

  • my dad drives a front loader from allied waste and umm i was wonder why didn't he used the blade to push it out or was it because he was over packed

  • Garbage truck constipation!

  • that first garbage tuck must of been constapated

  • have you ever gotten in trouble for filming videos on the job. I know for sure that most supervisors wouldn't tolerate it

  • lol that sucks now the mechanic gotta come out and work on that stinky nasty mess !...i would imagine it stayed half full until the hose got fixed ?

  • Jesus christ, how heavy was that FL? He was PACKED like hell.

  • Comment removed

  • That's good!

  • Was he driving down the road with the stuff spraying?

  • Nah, he had to sit and wait for the shop to come and fix it

  • The Republic drivers in Indy get loads stuck all the time. The best way not to get in trouble is to make sure you dont pack your last few containers or your last few carry can loads to much. That way you can cycle your blade and use the loose trash from your last few stops to break the load free. Never had to have a load dug out.

  • Yeah, its the same way with side loaders also, and thats what I always do. I always make sure there is plenty of stuff in the hopper to push the load out if the truck is packed tight.

I would assume the FL guys do the same, all those guys are veterans and know what they're doing, but apparently it doesnt always work.

  • @WasteCnxsideloader ...VETERANS, you pillox, they are bin men and half as bright as a church mouse for gods sake. Veterans my arse.

  • That guys having a bad day, LOL. A stuck load, then a "little help" from the loader operator and now he has a broken hydro line, LOL . That sucks!!

  • 3:05 something broke

  • lol what did he do after he still coouldnt loosen the load?

  • Wow, that sucks... too bad they didn't have a smaller frontload can and a loveseat or other bulk items sitting around... could've dumped those into the truck and broke the load free that way.

I use to pack old broken carts into my ASL if I have a stuck load. We had a pile of them sitting around at the time just for that purpose (those carts came from an acquisition). Drop a couple in, raise the body, run the packer, usually it was just enough to loosen the load, and gravity did the rest.

  • Its easier for us MSL drivers when we have a stuck load, there is usually stuff laying around we can throw in the hopper to break it loose.

  • now this just goes to show how much crap them trucks pack i coudent belive how much the truck whent up and what was the problem with the last front loader did he pack to much in i dont relly understand .

  • thats a fairly common situation if you have a heavy route, half pack and a tilt body (trying to pack a whole lot into a truck that's not full eject). The loader driver was doing what is done in that situation to get that driver out of the station and back on his route. The problem was the loader driver seemed to be working to fast. My first time watching the video as soon as he went into the body I said "damn he almost caught the tailgate cylinder hoses.

  • at 1:51 that rusk was so cool

  • Ha ha we all have those days. I usually put the hoist down, drive forwards and hit the brakes. That can loosen it up.

  • how many msl's does waste connections have

  • Could the frontloader have flipped? It took the front wheels off the ground!

  • No,that wouldnt be possible just doing what you see in this video. These trucks are very easy to roll over on their side if you make any sudden turns or overcorrections while driving, due to the high center of gravity load. As long as you keep the truck straight while unloading by acceleration everything should be fine (on a solid, even surface.Landfills can be more dangerous).

  • so what did they do with the hidralict hose after it broke cuase it was leaking real bad!!

  • They replaced it and threw the old one away since it was of no use once it ruptured.

  • The sideloader that came in what was it. It looked like a mack

  • it was a CCC

  • It was a Mack

  • i though it was a ccc

  • i bet the driver was pissed off about the hydralic line

  • couldn't the driver use the ejecter panel to push out some of tht stuck trash

  • Yes but only to a point, these are halfpack trucks, the panel only goes halfway in.Sometimes if you pack it really tight the load sits wedged inside just out of reach of the panel.

  • the frontloader at 1:43 lifted its front wheels.

  • lol he jammed the brakes

  • As far as the loader operator bein good maybe he is but took a shortcut and cost that company time and money because he wanted to save a minute.

  • Exactly right, this is an illustration of why you shouldnt cut corners.

  • please be my friend i love garbage trucks

  • That type of truck is a half pack the push blade only goes the distance of half the body so auto or by hand it wasn't going to work and yes it does happen often with these types of bodies

  • Whoa that sucks. Does that happen very often?

  • the joys of being a garbage man.

  • Whoa bad day for that dude. Couldnt help but notice that in the end he shut the back onto a load of junk (looked like an ironing board or something), surprised if the pins locked into place?

  • he could have packed it out even with the automated packer they can still pack it by hand

  • Wow, what an idiot skip loader driver, messed up the hose. Did more bad than good! Should get that damn freak off the job just for that

  • The guy driving the loader is actually very good at what he does,he deserves credit for that.Maybe he was a little over confident, and in a hurry at this moment, and didnt want to go all the way outside to get the backhoe because its a pain in the ass.

  • Wow, that really was a bad day for that frontloader. My packer malfunctioned 3 weeks ago at the xfer station, would only half pack cycle with the tailgate open. Not fun. Very good footage CNX, makes me happy I drive a full eject.

  • Not too smart! Makes you wish you had a full pack for sure though...I remember seeing a Shu-Pak MSL get it's load stuck like this and it took them over an hour to get it unloaded!

  • The Heil that I operated at United as well as the McNeilus I drove at WM were both hoist dumps, I hated them! There's nothing like a full eject half/pack, nothing!

  • Do you sell items on Ebay?

  • OUCH! I hope the hose was damaged and not the fitting/connection. Doesn't that make it a haz-mat scene with the fluid being misted into the air and puddling on the ground? We had a haz-mat scene here over a broken mercury thermostat. Great video - those are the things you hope to have the camera rolling for!

  • That poor guy his luck is about like mine.Great video though seeing all that trash at the station

  • Poor bugger, I thought that you guys on the east coast would have full eject trucks since you don't have weight restrictions out there, that would eleviate problems like this...

  • Most of the older trucks are full eject, all the newer ones they bought are all halfpack.Seems like full eject would be better, these guys cram ALOT of trash on.

  • That was smart, could see all the fluid spraying everywhere! Nice variety of trucks there! Think you could get some of them dumping??

  • Why didn't use his packer blade to push it out??

  • Don't you just hate it when you can't crap. LOL

  • that's a good one! Can't crap!

  • Drum, i believe it is a Heil Half Pak which only allows the blade to clear the hopper and not eject the load. Thats why the body is up in the air. Dumps like a Side Loader.

  • I know its a halfpack. Some of the older trucks i guess just rely on gravity to dump their loads.

  • As far as I know dumpers are only half packers! They should have the trucks where you can have dump and f/e features!

  • side loaders out here in the west coast have full pack.

  • Sucks to be the guy driving the FL with a stuck load. Great scenes from the transfer station though.

  • Yeah that was a stupid move to try and dig it out with the loader. Nothing good can come out of that. Lucky it was only the hose and he didnt break the cylinder. cool vid
