2. Lockon Stratos's death (Man tears were shed.)
3. Graham Aker's death from the movie. (I wish I could go out like that...)
4. Anew's death (Poor Lyle...DAMM YOU RIBBONS!)
5. Sergei Smirnov's death. (He died doing his duty, and for his son.)
@Darkstar263 Actually I was going to include Kinue Crossroad's death from S1. Because she died alone in a dark alley while bleeding to death thinking about her family. There's no other worst ways to die. But since her death didn't really affect the story much so I didn't include her. However, her death is still emotional. I'd say I'll put her in the 6th place for most saddest deaths in Gundam 00.

@Darkstar263 To me, I did think that even through after all she did, Wang Liu Mei didn't deserve to die. At least she did for the sake of her own family, with right now only her and her brother left. And both died by Nena's hands. So the Liu Mei family ended there. Andrei Smirnov also deserved it with what he did to his father, but after watching the movie, I'd say he redeemed himself there. (No spoillng, through)
I think that even if Setsuna didn't show it he was also hurt by shooting Anew, he understood Lyle's anger and I think he would have understood hands down if Lyle shot him. Hell! He even thinks of Marina and her song, it makes it look like he has feelings of her and is scare of what it means. Anew's death killed me but it was necessary because life is not fair and sometimes we don't live happy with the people we love.
setsuna is cool a hell. setsuna did tell lockon if any one of their lives were threaten he said he would protect them by any means. setsuna is very protective of his friends. he took down anew without a second thought when lockon was endanger. it is mess up that she died but she was a threat to everyone on the team and to herself.
What i just do not understand....WHY COULDNT SHE JUST BE REGROWN after the end of the series? I mean, Tieria had his memory backed up in Veda,so did his female opposite. If their minds were backed up in Veda,couldnt they just make a new clone body(speed up til it reaches original age before aging normally) .He coulda just rebuilt Anew. Im pretty sure Lyle would have granted yaoi fangirl dreams and actually KISSED Tieria for bringing his girlfriend back to life.

This is one of the most powerful scenes in season 2. My favorite actually. But every time I watch this scene with Anew and Lockon, I always think in the back of my head that when she says those last words and drifts off of screen shes about to give Lockon head. Crazy GN Particle Mind Head.

I just do not know what it is about this scene that always blows me away. Was it Setsuna backing up his statement that he would take the shot that would take Anew down; was it Lyle and Anew finding each other one last time before Anew dies; or was it Yuna Ito's voice as the Anew's mobile suit exploded...whatever it is, this was one great episode.
Ikr? :) I think it would be all. All of this was just depressing. Gosh, I wanted to kick Ribbons, Revive and Setsuna's asses. But mainly Ribbons.
But I really broke down crying when Anew ask Lyle if they understood each other. Then her mobile suit explodes right in front of Lyle. I find this episode/death one of the most saddest episodes. :'( Especially at the end where Lyle sobs Anew and screams.
You know, i am a man whom has been with gundam since the very begining and has seen more then my fair share of characters die in the long franchise. But even i was taken by surprise by just the sheer scale of emotion that overtook me when a pairing that i thought would last did not, even now rewatching it a year later i am still surprised by just how sudden it is.
They really didn't go to deep with Lyle and Anew, especially with the four months period between episode 17-18. But it was a very sudden, but we all knew something was going to happen when Anew was first shown in the anime (since she looks Revive ALLOT). But it was really, really a sad death.
@xXSweetxInnovatorXx Well no, at the time i was comparing 00 with every other gundam i had seen, and in those cases usually the enemy and the good guy pairing survives, such as in the 08th ms team or in seed. I do concede that i had expected some to die that episode but i had been convinced it would be revive, also most anime rommances are time skipped due to it being not cost effective to create episodes speific for that task. espeically in non rommance styled anime.
Well, the only Gundams I've seen are 00 and SEED/SEED Destiny. xD And true, like ummm... Haruka x Michiru from Sailor Moon. We all knew they were a lesbian couple but they did go a bit deeper in their relationship. Then after the S season, they don't come back until the Star season.

Setsuna did help in the end by making them meet again and talk and have closure, and if Lyle was killed Anew would still not return as a human, at least that's what I think, because one she can go back to the Innovators and kill more people, or two would be killed by Setsuna for killing Lyle. So it's better to have one than two dead.

@infernonecro130 No, because he was far away not enough to even rush there and slice her arm and as you saw, Anew's mecha bumped in Lyle's proving that Setsuna stopped it because he shot the mecha and it slowed down and didnt hit then he came after.

I just do not know what it is about this scene that always blows me away. Was it Setsuna backing up his statement that he would take the shot that would take Anew down; was it Lyle and Anew finding each other one last time before Anew dies; or was it Yuna Ito's voice as the Anew's mobile suit exploded...whatever it is, this was one great episode.

Ikr? :) I think it would be all. All of this was just depressing. Gosh, I wanted to kick Ribbons, Revive and Setsuna's asses. But mainly Ribbons.
But I really broke down crying when Anew ask Lyle if they understood each other. Then her mobile suit explodes right in front of Lyle. I find this episode/death one of the most saddest episodes. :'( Especially at the end where Lyle sobs Anew and screams.

You know, i am a man whom has been with gundam since the very begining and has seen more then my fair share of characters die in the long franchise. But even i was taken by surprise by just the sheer scale of emotion that overtook me when a pairing that i thought would last did not, even now rewatching it a year later i am still surprised by just how sudden it is.

They really didn't go to deep with Lyle and Anew, especially with the four months period between episode 17-18. But it was a very sudden, but we all knew something was going to happen when Anew was first shown in the anime (since she looks Revive ALLOT). But it was really, really a sad death.

@xXSweetxInnovatorXx Well no, at the time i was comparing 00 with every other gundam i had seen, and in those cases usually the enemy and the good guy pairing survives, such as in the 08th ms team or in seed. I do concede that i had expected some to die that episode but i had been convinced it would be revive, also most anime rommances are time skipped due to it being not cost effective to create episodes speific for that task. espeically in non rommance styled anime.

Well, the only Gundams I've seen are 00 and SEED/SEED Destiny. xD And true, like ummm... Haruka x Michiru from Sailor Moon. We all knew they were a lesbian couple but they did go a bit deeper in their relationship. Then after the S season, they don't come back until the Star season.
