i had nightmares due to this when i was a kid... but now... haha... where have movies like these gone these days... the ones that really scare the shit out of you... the last good one imho was rec 1 n 2, paranormal activity 1 2 3 and the blair witch project... :(

Well when she is talking it sounds almost like there is more than one in her. It is left pretty open though, in this movie since it never comes out and says Puzuzu and it is never really affirmed it is actuakly THE devil. Anyway, I thought thia movie was really good, but I think the fexorcism shouod have been stretched out in the movie so it would have been a slower process and they qould have been foghting against the demon longer..I just think it would have emphasized their struggles more.

i saw this movie just today. i saw the "version you've never seen." honestly it wasn't scary but rather funny. i cracked up at what ragen says when she is possessed. such as "Shove it up your ass you fuck," or "Your mother sucks cocks in hell!" LOL

No doubt about it..! And I completely agree with director Billy Friedkin..is not really a horror movie but a psychological thriller based on the eternal battle between good and evil. Just saw the special presentation on the BIG SCREEN celebrating the 37TH anniversary. What a ride.! Almost 40 years and still an amazing film..!
