I loved this game... the whole private military coming to get you thing .. was very nicley done.. made me feel like i was revisiting half-life for the PC days of old. The Fears in general were very interesting to play. The multiplayer needed some work.. and coop... but in all was a good game. Surely a game any gamer would probably have sitting idle in their libraries for rainy days.

yeah but I would suggest playing it on a desktop cause I downloaded the game and installed it and did some updates and the laptop that I am playing it on still isn't as fast as a desktop I get some lag but not bad to were I can't play it but if you want full detail that the game actually can apply then like I said I suggest playing it on a very fast desktop.

I finished FEAR at highest difficulty and I NEVER survived a direct firefight with a SINGLE soldier without slo-mo. xD. it shows how good the game is.

..or how bad the player is. I actually prefer the jump-kick method when the enemy's close enough as it kills instantly and you don't have to waste bullets then. Though at times you HAVE to shoot as the enemy's too far away to reach without being noticed.

that's exactly! What I meant was a direct face-to-face close quarters where the enemy gets a clear shot at you. One has to use some tricks to get around. i know i suck.

i got this today from gamestop and it's one of the best games ive EVER!!!! played. I've owned both resident evil 1, resident evil 2, resident evil code veronica and veronica x and those werent even scary and i was about 11-15 at the time.
