  • clint eastwood is just the greatest ever.

  • Ahojky ako sa vola tato pesnicka prosimn........pa

  • Lucky Meryl Streep? Lucky Clint Eastwood! I'm a girl, but I would like to take his place in this scene! ;)

  • haha, lol me to ! ;)

  • Lucky Meryl Streep, being THAT close to Clint. I SO wish I could switch places with her.

  • I wish Clint had done more roles & movies like this cuz he's a GREAT romantic leading man.

  • This has to be the most romantic scene AND song...EVER!

  • Hey, id still kiss him! despite the old guy look, he is still pretty exy esp. in this scene!

P.S anyone no the name of the music?

  • It's 'I See Your Face Before Me' by Johnny Hartmann. It's on the Bridges of Madison County CD.

    Dreamy ~~~

  • thanx! and i agree!

  • .... "the last cowboy"

  • This scene it is so sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! the music it's perfect!

  • i cried at the end of this movie, their awesome

  • magical.

  • That was beautiful!

    This movie is beautiful!

  • oh, thank you!

  • They're amazing. It's so cute.

    xoxoxo

  • I just love the way they kiss

    :D

    <3

  • they make a perfect couple! Merly looks lovely and she can act really act!

  • Have to say, cattheya2008, I could act pretty convincingly if I had to do a kiss scene with the delectable Mr Eastwood ;-D

  • I agree. If I had to do a kissing scene with Clint,I would SO do it(despite he's grandfather old but still SUPERSEXY,especially in this movie & the Dirty Harry movies).

  • Esse ilme é realmente maravilhoso, um classico...

  • i think clint eastwood is a beautiful man...i like him...

  • Robert Waller (author of "bridges") composed a song to go with his book. I happened to get it on video tape. Great song, better than anything in the movie!

  • Please could we stay on topic guys, this is getting a bit hostile!

  • Again, whaaat? Grow up:o)

  • Titanic? She wasn't married how was she having an affair? This promotes nothing, it's a story, people have affair's, men as well. There are many more stories about people being commited to eachother. You've been cheated on, I'm not surprsed, you have a very low opinion of women and their intelligence. Women, like men, get their morals from their parents and friends, and make their minds up, not movies. Morals are subjective, life is too short and pointless for anything other than being happy.

  • No one says that adutery is a good thing. However, what would you do when the love of your life comes at the wrong time? We are just human beings.

  • what an ass you are ....amazing film. you relaise that there are millions of people trapped in relationships for all reasons and love of their lives they have to deny?

  • what an ass darkpassenger, I meant sorry

  • Of course its not right to cheat- but when you fall in love with someone, you just cant help it!!! When you like someone or just fall for someone- it just happens (cant fight feelings)

Oh My God! Its just a film- a great film!!!!

    I agree with 'kendrawhisp'

  • i felt in love with him watching this great movie.

  • bravo clint, and ty for bringing back johnny hartman to the world!

  • You can just feel that tension coming at you through the screen. This is one of the finest films with two of the finest actors. Every move and action is directed to perfection..Bravo!!

  • Well said Mauricio181. I agree. It is nice though to be able to lose oneself in the beauty of this scene.

  • man, this scene is so great, so emotional. i could never fathom how actors/actresses act in front of the camera as if no one's watching. like this scene, e.g., they're dancing & kissing as if they were a real couple, but then you think, there a lot of people behind that camera. these 2 people are really good.

  • This film is beautiful, but until you do not realize that happiness is in oneself, that the relationship is like a flower that is irrigated day by day, if you do not pass the bill and any person who moves you one eye is as the best thing that happened in a long time, and that's just the magic is lost or not recall before marrying, as was happy, the dissatisfaction comes from oneself

  • I fall in love with Robert (Clint Eastwood) Everytime I watch this movie. It is one of my favorites. If only there were more good movies and stories like this...!

  • when i first saw this movie,i was on my 20s and couldn't understand why it's hard for her to make decisions but now..i am on my 30s, married with kids, and i understand!Love is just a "feeling", it will fade away eventually and it's FAMILY that counts.i mean who will guarantee she and robert will work out if she really leaves her family?

  • Oh God I love this movie soooo much...

  • Been There done that got pictures loved her and ain't dead yet!

    Bar

  • The end ogf this movie made me cry a lot thanks to that I got the courage to leave my husband after many sad and lonely years of marrige. If not, I would have the same destiny as Francesca, something that was more scarying that going through a divorce.

  • I wanna be Meryl Streep right there!!! Great movie and Clint a gentleman as always.

  • I once have the same struggle & final choice as Francesca, it is not easy for a woman who carries someone in the deep side of her heart day by day till the end of her life. Though it's sorrow but blessing for having this passionate feeling. I love Meryl Streep & Clint Eastwood, they tell us true love without boundary...everyone deserves to have true love....no matter of age...though destiny doesn't put you together.

  • Never saw the movie but I read the book, twice. A definite page turner and tear jerker.

  • Definitely one of the best love scenes ever, and no skin shown- what a novel idea(!) The other film by this writer, the Horse Whisperer, is similar in theme and romantic struggle, and has another sexy dance scene, but it's played out in public with the husband nearby. You can feel the tension. As to the movie (both in fact), it would be so much easier to tell her to leave the husband if they were jerks, but they aren't, they are loving, caring husbands, hence the internal struggle.

  • Was this filmed in Indiana?

  • No , it was filmed in Des Moines .

  • iew old people kissing :|

    i'm kiddin, love this scene

  • preciosa, sin ninguna duda

  • fave part of the movie! perhaps fave part of all love storieS!!!

  • I feel like I am living this movie...

  • I love this scene so much. Maybe I've already commented on this video, (can't find it if I have) but it bears repeating. This is the best scene ever in a movie. It's so real. It feels nothing like acting...it's real, it's beautiful, it's deep. It's love. I'm all verklempt now. :)

  • I love the total frankness of this scene , there is no prentitiousness and no hiding in this perfect intimate exchange between the couple , it is sooooooo sizzlingly erotic it is electric and yet there is no vulgarity at all between the couple , a truely modern classic love story that appeals to all who have a modicum of romance and tenderness yet frighteningly sexy to the point of not wanting to watch as if you are "peeping" at this private affair.

  • One of the greatest love scenes ever, this is one of my favorite movies!

  • i love this film!

  • I love you that way... I miss you so much...

  • I love this scene. It's so perfect. Best scene ever in a movie. <3

  • Sooooooooooo emotional...

This is a scene of the life. Damn it...

Choose something in your short life..

    Happiness or loneliness.. or unhappiness...

Whatever you choose... it is yours...

  • she couldn't go with Eastwood. that's the point! if she had gone with him, they would have distroyed their beautiful feeling. eastwood said that he had many women but she's special. I love the statement: this kind of certainty comes but once in a lifetime. it's amazing... streep had stayed and she could dream bout the miracle that had happened to her... and this scene is so erotic and romantic. it makes me speechless!

  • This is such an intelligent comment , the eroticism of this "dance" is grossly underinterpreted by our male contingent LOL!!! if only some more of them realised how women tick !!! LOL , the scene is the axis point of the film , when the characters realise they are forever inexorably intermingled , their fates not quite decided , but their time definitely running out.

  • It's so easy to say "run" to him....but I can sympathize with her decision to stay with her family, for the family's sake. My heart breats and I dissolve into tears...what sacrafices we women have to make in life.

  • i watched this movie for the first time last weekend, and i couldn't stop crying, especially towards the end, when he was waiting for her in the rain....but she didn't have the courage to leave. :(

  • OH dear!!! I too disolve all through the film , but the scene at the end with Meryl Streep and the truck handle , just screws my brain up , would YOU stay or would YOU just get out of the truck and run to Clint in the rain???????????? Superb film , superbly characterised by Clint( was this part created for him? it's just SOOOOO him!!) ~ read the book!

Love it love it love it , I cry EVERY time ~ GALLONS!!!!

  • What woul dyouhave done???

  • I would have no doubt , no second thought , no regret , I would have lived for that second and opened the door, as Kincaid said , there could be no ambiguety about the moment , it only happens once ( if ever ) and you must be clear what you want.........oh gosh what a choice , to leave your children and your safe husband ? , damned if you do , damned if you don't, I would have to be selfish and choose to love Kincaid.(Sorry , if I upset people, thats just me)....oh gosh ...tears are forming

  • I would have but did not, so al I can say is "Go For It. "

  • intriguing.....were you in a " Bridges" stiuation? I think perhaps everyone experiences pain and choices in relationships and sometimes we make the wrong choices and regret it all our lives ....its distressing to put your own relationship under the microscope and put yourself into the characters of "Bridges" I KNOW I would have gone to my husband if he had been Kincaid.

  • I was told I am not going to let my heart rule my head, and that was it.

Now she walks down the street and totally ingnores me. This really buries the knife upto the hilt with sadness.

After all the intimate moments, you find that talk is cheap.

  • I'm sorry , perhaps the pain is too great for her to acknowledge you , perhaps she hides behind a mask of of "non emotion" try not too be too hard on yourself , take a lesson from the film, you would not have known or experienced this if you hadn't given your all , but don't grow bitter just relieve the glow and develop the good out of the time that you had.

  • yeah .. i would have done the same i think ..

  • It's not an issue of courage. She has a dilemma: leave her husband and children which, given the town mentality at that time, would have damaged the family a huge deal in reputation and otherwise. If she leaves to follow Kincaid, then they would be destroying what they have as it is a product of those few days and she would feel constantly guilty for leaving her family which would taint her relationship with him.

  • its nice to be in love

  • this IS a beautiful part of the movie...god it is just soo romantic

  • unforgettable...

  • omg I absolutely love this movie. Thank you for posting one of my favorite scenes!

  • The song my Johnny Hartman is perfect.

  • I dont know about you, i think clint did an excelent job, but does anybody else agree with me that Robert Redford would it be fit perfectly for that role?

  • i think that clint eastwood does such a wonderful job as Robert that i just couldn't imagine anyone else playing it. plus, robert redford got meryl streep for out of africa. (another of my favorite movies)

  • more bridges videos!!!!

  • this is my favourite movie yes more bridges any time i watch it i keep thinking about them the story is beautiful but sad at the end

  • yes yes YES!! thank you! sheer perfection.

  • This is my favorite movie of all time :)

    Such a beautiful scene!
