Closest thing to Baldur's Gate that has come out on PC since Throne of Bhall has been Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, if you haven't bought them - excellent tribute video, by the way!

But in the final ending, Nalia become the most powerful crown wizard in the Amn's council if i am not mistaken..

Fallout 3 is a first person shooter type of game mimic Elder scroll.. there aren't even NPC interaction in the game, Fallout 3 is just another hanck and slach hybrid try to steal the imagination of Black Isle Studio

Love the game. this game introduced me to Bioware, and D&D. @ 1:17 who are those cloacked men sitting around the table. I assumed they were bhaalspawn monitoring the actions of the main character. But they were never explained in the games.

This is still the best video game I've ever played. Even if in the future computers no longer use CDs I will always keep my copy of this game at least for nostalgia's sake. And when my grandchildren find it resting on a dusty shelf and ask me "what is this?" I can say: "The best game ever made."

I've played Mass Effect, and I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2 now as well. I agree that ME is an amazing game, partly because it is so much different from other RPGs I've ever play-- in part because it's a space opera and a shooter. However, I still feel Baldur's Gate 2 is superior.

The gameplay, the puzzles, the characters, specific lines of dialogue, and the events (both major and minor) have stuck with me and made a deeper impact on me than Mass Effect. To me at least, proves it's better

In the Citadel you can buy a Space Hamster. When I first saw that item in the shop's inventory I was like "WTF?" then I started busting up laughing.

That's because it's an obvious reference to the Baldur's Gate series, for the character Minsc keep what he believes is a "Giant minature space hamster."

mass effect has presentation over BG2, little else. it comes at a huge cost however and that's indicative in its lack of depth and content more than anything. BG2 is undeniably bioware's magnum opus, and it's unlikely that will ever change.

possibly, but i think more of the two sides of just the main character, because Bhodie and Irenecus are not bhaalspawns, and their views and goals do not change as the game progresses, they stay evil. as for imoen, you dont even need to use her in the game if you dont want to, and in throne of bhaal she gives up her power potential the first chance she gets. so idk, but during shadows of amn, the main character continues to struggle with his good side and his evil taint. hens the slayer form...

This game is beyond fantastic, I know it inside and out. Been playing it for a good six years and it never gets old. The video is really solid, although I would have liked to see more in-game battles...particularly the struggle against Melissan, any of the dragons, or some of the battles that take place in Suldanesselar are pretty good.
