You make a valid point. But these two vehicles compete in two completely different classes. Thats just like saying instead of buying a Lexus GS, I could buy two Camrys instead. While it may be true, you're not exactly comparing apples to apples...
I never thought of making the comparison, but I agree. I'd rather have, and feel better about owning, a loaded Accord V6 for the same money as an entry-level Genesis. I'm by no means a Honda fan. It's just the peace of mind with buying a Honda, not to mention the new Accord is similar in size and has all the features I would want. I would trade the Genesis's extra luxury features it has over the Accord for the Accord's better overall quality/reliability.
its mainly designed in the US so if you dont like it, its only us to blame. The main design center at california has way too much influence in its designs....nowadays, cars arent purely domestic any more. Otherwise, i think the whole imitation attempt is a great buisness plan.

In the US, a car is just another fashion accessory—for many people. So the grille design is much more important than handling, brakes, fuel consumption, exhaust emissions.
Smaller European and Japanese cars are very smart, intelligent engineering, creative—a lot in a small package. US cars are usually too big, wasteful, inefficient, not creatively designed. Too bad. US industry has to learn new tricks or it will not survive.
