  • well, at least it's safer than the stuff Waldo Pepper used to fly ... so i suppose you won't have to be on the look out for FAA or NTSB ...

  • sheesh, i had to go to Quicksilver's website to make sure, cause i was sitting here saying to myself that is NOT a Quicksilver. I stand corrected, that's a new model by them, the Quicksilver GT - 400.

  • @b101aa2 I was saying the very same thing..lol I have a Quicksilver MXL single place & seen vid and immediatley said to my self"Thats NOT a Quicksilver"

    But your right...New Model:)

  • The pilot is also a member of our radio controlled airplane club. We use smoke injectors on some of our larger RC planes, especially those that are powered by gasoline engines (like a weed eater engine).

He just adapted one of those RC smoke systems to his ultralight engine... It consists of a small smoke fuel tank, a little fuel pump and a switch.)

  • nice vid. I am looking into getting a gt 400 but i cant seem to find out if you need a light sport licence to fly it. Thanks

  • I asked the owner of that Quicksilver, and he said:

Anyone flying an aircraft over 254 lbs must have at least a sport pilots license. If the aircraft is 254 lbs or less it is considered an ultralight and the pilot is not required to have a license. A sport pilot's license does not require a physical - only a drivers license.

  • @9Dutchman9 254 lbs. really seems like an unfair weight to give us to work with! Signed "Pissed Off!"

  • whats all that smoke ?
