Everybody should watch 'Germany vs USA' by the users 'Alex and Jim' on this site or from my user page. It gives a better source of those two countries than Jeremy Clarkson's narrowminded stereotyping b/c Alex (the German) and Jim (the American) actually discuss topics more in depth and there is less cherrypicking.
Since German posts are debunking Clarkson's stereotype this 'lack' of humor I'm going to add that I heard that American TV comedy shows, like King of Queens, According to Jim, and Married with Children are very popular in Germany, so they do have a sense of humor but it seems they laugh when it's actually funny not when they want to be superficial.

This documentary wasn't funny because he didn take the mickey out of typical German idiosyncrasies. Instead he showed a country which is not Germany. As I suggested before, we love British humour about us, but this was bit strange.

I´m british, living in Germany and I don´t find him at all funny. The old fart in fact, bored me almost to death with this documentation. His putting other countries in a bad light as to make Enland seem the better country is somewhat pathetic and not very convincing. I could tell loads of weird things the English do, but so what?
For example, I´ve never seen so many women going shopping with curlers in their hair, an oversized fur coat and manky slippers on, as I did in England :D
The Germans are a bit known for not being the people who don't smile allot, but give them some beer and they won't stop laughing! I can now, they are my neighbours...

I´m british, living in Germany and I don´t find him at all funny. The old fart in fact, bored me almost to death with this documentation. His putting other countries in a bad light as to make Enland seem the better country is somewhat pathetic and not very convincing. I could tell loads of weird things the English do, but so what?
For example, I´ve never seen so many women going shopping with curlers in their hair, an oversized fur coat and manky slippers on, as I did in England :D
