This actually isn't the Friday Night Lights theme song. The theme song was an original composition by W. G. Snuffy Walden simply entitled "Friday Night Lights Theme". However, I don't think it's a stretch to say that he was influenced by Explosions in the Sky.
@Komrad666 Actually no. The theme song was an original composition by W. G. Snuffy Walden simply entitled "Friday Night Lights Theme". However, I'm sure he was influenced by these guys.
i have not even graduated high school yet and i already miss the friday night lights with my brothers. i will never forget the years i put into football with them. i will never forget my high school football memories.
@2014softballchick Any small town outside a big city is guaranteed to have just as much drama packed into it as an episode of Friday Night Lights. And I wouldn't change it for anything.
Much perfer the movie with Billy Bob Thornton. Doesn't overkill on the drama, and it only truely makes sense to the people who have suited up on friday nights.
@UrlacherBears54 its hard to compare i think, I really like them both, billy bobs was a movie that was a hour and half long while the show was seasons long so of course the shows gonna have more drama. the movie was mainly about football where as the show had to branch out more into actual other storylines to keep it interesting,.
@crimsonxtide50 True. And I guess it depends on the person, because the movie really hit me deep in that hour and a half rather then the show. But again, it varies.
I love it. I felt like I knew the characters in this movie. That's not saying how crazy I am. I think it's a testament to the great work the whole cast and producers did on the show.
duuude, i wanna cry listenin' to this. fnl forever. </3 i have the whole last season to watch, saved on my DVR, and i know i cant do it, it'll be too sad to end.
@nataliekatexo The last season is extremely sad to watch. Apparently, the producers are making a fnl movie with kyle chandler and connie britton. Not sure if the rest of the cast will make an appearance. Watch the last season. It almost makes you want to cry.
@RaffaeleAuditore I knooooow, my friends told me how they bawled, and I know I will. I'm still in denial about it ending, haha. I kinda wanna see that movie though, only if they bring back the original characters, like smash, and jason street. all the people who disappeared.
the guy on the left at 7:14 has clearly been held back a few years haha. I love this show though. I finished all the seasons on netflix, and started over again. It just sucks cause I lived and played football where no one took it serious, it was just an after school activity for them. I wish I got the chance to play somewhere Dillion Panthers.
@crimsonxtide50 I was actually shock that they have the seasons on netflix. So i pull maybe a month of just FNL nights until i finish the last season. I hear ya on the football part. Where i live, football was pretty big until someone got hurt and now we dont even have a football program at the school anymore.
To be honest, this show inspire me to play football if i ever have the chance.
@antlane7 It's in season one and it starts right after the scene where Tim Riggins does the Texas forever speech. The specific time is 26 mintues within the first episode of season one.
@antlane7 Actually, no. They are two different songs. This is by a Texan group called Explosions in the Sky. The soundtrack for the TV series was written by a guy called W. Snuffy Walden. They are very similar, though. Strings, and everything. Both pretty emotional. I LOVE the show.
@RaffaeleAuditore, this is a very touching tribute to a great show! Like many fans I'm very upset it got canceled, especially with the football season starting. On the bright side, it was wonderful that the Emmy's honored the show by giving Kyle Chandler the award for his performance!
@ladoanch Thank you for the comment. I wasn't aiming for the video to become a tribute. It was mostly uploaded for the FNL fans to hear the theme song of the series XD. I'm very glad that Kyle Chander got an award for the show since he was long overdue. To me, everyone in the show is award material.
@angelfanish Thank you :). I had my doubts with this show but after i watch the first season, i was hooked. It's really sad that they had to cancel the show but this show will stay with me forever :D.
