One of the first steps to true wisdom is discarding garbage like post-modernism. We must accept what we are and embrace peace and stability once more.
With the advent of new powerful technologies how can we continue to differentiate between men and women? It isn't long until all of us will be able to change gender at will. The separation between the genders will only be sustained if we consciously choose it. Nothing in actual reality stops us from transcending gender. It's not only about gender though, it's also about species and physical substrates. Be aware that we are ultimately nothing but energy taking on conscious and physical shapes.
@alexxarian Poppycock. You are what you're DNA says you are. Men and women are different organisms, superficially as well as in their mental function. We are tied together through our species but we are entirely different. Women on the whole hate violence. Men embrace it because we are protectors that is our role. Women have children and are most inclined to want to raise them and instill them with their values.
I can't tell here if you're talking about emotional and intellectual independence or some sort of hermetic, physical solitude. I am not speaking of the latter in any way.
I´m on work right now... and I have my pc audio disabled... but I´m very anxious to listen to this vid, to hear its content. So far, you´ve got me impressed with ur material.
How does sex actually mean anything in this way? I notice this sort of deistic form of the sexes in a few videos. I can see how you strive towards one set of qualities, but it seems like a non-sequitur that they are male or female.
Sex is meaningless on this level. The vast majority of sex difference is the effects of testosterone. Gender identity and superficial mannerisms really seem irrelevant when thinking about wisdom, god's nonexistence, determinism, consciousness and free will.
Well, the video is explicitly aimed at men and their perceptions of the standard roles life and society throw at them and condition them into. In a broader philosophical sense, the dimensions of mind which can be usually labeled "feminine/masculine" are very important to those things you list. These are not gender issues, per se. I hold that male minds are 75% feminine, for example. I'll be doing a video series on this exact issue some time soon.
as petexii says above, what's with the sexism? if you want to go all spiritual, then each person could have a masculine and a feminine side, what qualities you define those sides depends on the society you live in.
one thing biology teaches us is that our male centered society is wrong, women are the basal form, the important sex. men are essentially juiced up sperm donors. there is good reason that the life expectency of women is higher.
"Sexism", by definition, is an avoidance of facts. The *actual* facts are more difficult to get to than most people think, and are so muddied by political agendas that it's deemed inappropriate to even speak about the issue. Thankfully, philosophers could give a crap about political memes :)
While I understand the distinction between those seeking true wisdom/understanding and those who are not (i.e. "men who ignore their true nature" as you put it), I do not understand your sexual basis for it. Women can, just as well as men, confront the raw nature of reality.
tells you something about humans then doesn't it?
in the book Stranger in A Strange Land it puts forward that "we laugh because it hurts." Laughter is sadistic in nature; enjoying the pain of others. It's not altogether too different what Nietzsche says.
For some that's probably true enough, though homosexuality is a somewhat complex thing which suffers from inevitable stereotyping. It would be an example with respect to the more effeminate gays.
To be a real man means to take a big black dick in to your asshole, endure it, and to say it was nothing.

Your voice is very relaxing, helps me sleep, hope that does not sound creepy.

What of the man who is a hypocrite?

@runningtap12 - If he's a genuine hypocrite there's hope for him, because he necessarily has some conscious values.

You'll need the audio to make sense of it. It is kinda important :)

You say that and ask about sexism? How bizarre.

i guess i did not really think before i wrote.
if we are to be sexist though, at least we must make sure we are using the facts.

I'm *really* behind the times . . . I still can't accept that "bad" actually means "good".

So why with the sexually charged definitions?
