  • i was 19 so many memories tied to this song, so powerful!

  • pretty sure this was recorded from a VHS tape, the sound quality is always like this, i remember it from the videotapes i've rented back then, now and then the pitch seems to go a bit wild! lol

  • The way he cries "release me". THE PASSION. Fuck it is so good. i love it especially after he cries "For you to speak to me" than RElease ME. fuck that is so powerful! yOU BELIVE HIS Voice and it is also just so fucking good. WOT Album was this off? it wasnt on ten i dont thinK?

  • @b0w13nspac3

Last track from Ten. Love it as well!

  • Excellent find, mimkaaa. Thank you. I wish I could have seen them in the early days.

  • Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. You tube is the best thing since... well,, its just awesome.

Nothing beats going to a live gig, but this is the next best thing if you werent born or living on the others side of the world

  • u can feel it in the air

  • Weird to hear it with that shuffle feel at the end. Still awesome to hear the first song they ever performed live!

  • Love this song. Great to hear an older version of it. Thanks for posting.

  • This is awesome!! Thx

  • I'd loved to see them in the 90s but I was only 2 years old when they played this show. I love Eddies voice at this time.

Thank you for this video :)

  • You're very welcome!

    Love his voice as well!

  • I was at this show. Went to see Alice in Chains. Didn't think much of Mookie Blaylock at the time, they were good but had never heard any of the songs before this show. Alice in Chains kicked ass!

  • I was born in 92 and I am pissed I wasnt born 10 years earlier. 90's seemed great

  • The 90's were great but at least you have excellent taste in music..you should be proud of that! :)

  • @MusicalPhish The 90's were the best!

  • Man do I feel old...I was 26 when this show was performed...wanted to go, but couldn't make it that night. These guys continue to rock to this day.

  • Uhhggg, I was 22. I feel your pain! lol

  • Thank You.

  • :) the pleasure is all mine!

  • Edday's a babay!

  • Too bad they didn't play "Improv" later to be called Yellow Ledbetter.

  • i was ten in 90 so when 93 came i saw my 1st pj show.i've been hooked ever since! GREATEST BAND EVER!

  • i was born in 90 also, glad to live threw the 90s :)

  • Dude, sure you lived the 90's, but you didn't enjoy them cause you were a baby!

  • i was born in 90...and i think the best way to describe it is that we enjoy what the 90s produced

  • birth of the greatest band ever

  • This is awesome I wasn't even one year old yet I was born in Jan. 1990.

  • eddie was 26

  • Jesus died for my sins? That was awfully presumptuous of him, don't you think? I'll take care of myself if you don't mind - I don't need some long-dead martyr to do it for me.

  • it's '90 ;) great video ;) thanks for sharing

  • Is there any more film of this show??????

  • yes the whole show was filmed

i have it but i don't know how to share it

  • Off Ramp = Grunge Temple.

  • The absolute truth, I'll witness to that.

  • Ed's voice is so full and rich yet you know at this nascent stage the sound at these small bars were crap.

  • you can also tell he's not inhaling to the stomach

  • What a great look at the beginning of it all....what a long strange trip it's been.

  • well it was on a local network here- in Bulgaria and I decided to share it here. But if that's not ok with you pls let me know and it'll be gone...

  • what was your band called?

  • ya haha.

  • hey mickzimm 2 things. 1. they never played the off ramp in 91 and 2. which band were you in.

  • So Awesome! Such a long time ago and stil my favorite PJ song of all time.

  • think about it. they are like 24 years old. sick.

  • it was because of these magical moments on stage we have pearl jam forever :)

  • U can definetly tell this is there first show. Look at another release opener or any song, Eddy never crosses his arms. They said he was somewhat shy on stage back then. PJ for life!

  • ...and so the show begins.

I believe this was the first song they played as well. who ever knew, eh? thanks a lot for this epic piece.

  • i'm glad that the video makes people happy!

    the pleasure is all mine:)

  • bien fumao

  • Raw honest emotion....Pearl Jam.

  • You can rename this as 'Pearl Jam - Release (First show)' or something! I am sure it will get more number of hits, moreover, PJ fans on the tube will get to see the first ever live performance of one of the best songs of all time! :D

  • 10x for the advice!

    PJ for life...!

  • I love the part when Ed's wailing and those amazing chords are reverberating and you can hear a guy say, "That's incre-heh-dible!"

  • pure power of emotion. Eddie is like no other.

  • WOW!!!

please please please post the rest of the show!!!

  • sorry but i don't have it either:(

i am also lookin for it but unsuccessfully up to now:( sorry again!

  • nice!!!! very nice!!

  • I believe this is Pearl Jam's first ever concert at the Off Ramp Cafe on 10/22/1990. Very cool.
