Sounds like the ignition timing is a little bit off, the way it stutters. It's not cranking slowly enough to be a bad battery...

Great fun, what I do remember is you had to manually pull the lever a few times at the fuel-pump to get the petrol up into the carburator in those days.... And it would start great. Also replace the old PAL-starter-engine with a new one from VW (old Beetle) did the truck, that had much more startingpower. I had a few of these old Skoda's and it was great fun driving them at the time...

I don`t know , i just recorded the sound of it , the cars in the movie is not the same as the sound . I just don`t know the year of it
