  • great version but the 76 and 77 tour versions were fantastic!!! definitely more haunting sounding with mr hackett on guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saw them in Chicago, 5 years ago. Altough they have played Los Endos a little bit slower, it was fantastic the same. This is the best line-up of Genesis on stage.

  • I was there. Not sure if it was this exact night, but I'm proud to be able to say I was there.

  • great to hear this again - thanks for posting - bought the TOFT album when it came out - reminds me of college days

  • Lol @ how Mike Rutherford humps his guitar.

  • Chester is ridiculous - these guys are so tight Live it's amazing - Genesis rules ,...

  • Such a tight and haunting performance! Genesis at their best. " A Trick of the tail" is a great album anyway!!

  • One of the highlights of the show, and much more because the piece was omitted on the band's previous two concert videos. But in its own right it's a killer tune, and I love those two chords that got added on the live versions, and particularly the one at 5:37 never amazes me enough. GENESIS FOREVER RULES!!

  • PHIL AND CHESTER at Percussion....is the best, forget the rest!!!

  • i haven't seen this in like a gazillion years. Love this song. Thanks for the upload!

  • 0 dislikes!!! This song deserves it!

  • I have this DVD - absolutely awesome, from start to finish. This is arguably one of the best bits, though.

  • my fav band for over 35 yrs..and still the best live band ...ever !! cheers lads !!

  • During the 3:34-3:37 mark of this clip, someone in the audience should've shouted, "You da man, Phil!" Like I did at the concert back in '07.

  • oh yes...finally something better than all the pop in that years...this is the real genesis, not mama or land of confusion

  • The definitive version of Los Endos - next to the 1976 live cut :) The ultimate ending to a Genesis concert.

  • this was awesome. There's so much you can do with Los Endos live if you have 2 drummers

  • Just fantastic. The hairs on the back of he neck are working overtime. I was at this concert in 1987 and in the 23 years that have gone by i still think its the best version of Los Endos ever. I freaked out to it then and i've tears in the corners of my eyes now. Bloody brilliant.

  • @Bigade68 Bloody Brilliant doesn't even begin to describe this concert. There are no superlatives powerful enough to describe this...

  • @Bigade68 i wish i could have seen them live during this time. sensational band!!!

  • wow... possibly the best version of Los Endos EVER recorded..... wow. Thanks !

  • @jwchancey What do you mean POSSIBLY?!

  • @jwchancey No, that would be on Seconds Out!

  • @MrMillenium67 I don't know about that, with a combination of the better lighting and Stuermer's awesome riffs on the stienberger, I think this version tops it.

  • I don't like the digital Tony much. Prefer his analog years.

  • @PeterMayer it's the same person? it's just different keyboards...

  • class!

  • This was probably their tightest era with the great songs! Crisp! And wonderful!

  • one of the greatest song ever !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hear this version and i think, thats is very wonderful.. the soundo is incredible.. is th best veriosn of los endos alive.

  • @Eddore any King Bisquit recording with the Mellotron is better....

  • epic.

  • hammergeil.....begleitete meine jugend

  • This is sooo fucking awesome!!!!!

    Love Genesis just love it!

  • j'adore magnifique le duel entre collins et le second bateur

  • The ugly ass guitar is a Steinberger. Currently residing in the "where is it now file" of guitar classics.....

  • I don't like the Emulator sound. The mellotron is much stronger.

  • Genios. Son genios. Son los mejores. Me vuelve loco este video.

  • Which instrument is Daryl Stuermer using?

  • guitar

  • this is genesis. pure. rough. evil.

  • chester thompson on drums - yeah!

  • the best version since chester's and daryl's era.

  • I agree. By far more powerful than the version on "Second's out". The mighty bass fundament from 4:16 onwards completeley blows me away!;-)

  • @Erbakanreal Responsible for that mighty sound (in addition to the actual bass guitar playing) is a Moog Taurus bass pedal synthesizer. At 3:14 you can see that Daryl and Mike both use one. You can watch a video from retrosound72 here on YouTube where he demonstrates that instrument.

  • Sounds so much better live!

  • E-P-I-C
