They are absolutely adorable, however they are not meant to be pets. They are an endangered species, not just because of the fact that their habitat is being destroyed by humans but mainly because of people who take them from the wild to sell them as pets or to kill them to be used in traditional medicine.

So please, even if you think that you could treat one properly, they deserve to be in the wild. Buying one is giving a reason for this to continue.

i have to partially agree with ambertjeblue somewhat as cute as this may seem i'm not saying it's disgusting. But they have to de-fang these animals just so you can have them as pets which is wrong in my opinion. Thats like getting a pet bird and clipping it's wings, let the animal just be it self. Other then that slow loris has are endangered slow loris suffer high mortality in captivity due to infection, poor handling. Not disgusting, but probably not a good idea to get one as a pet.

I think a lot of you fail to realise is that most of these animals are bred away from their natural habitat, they don't get the normal interaction of others of their kind and they probably love the sole attention they get from their owner, who they learn to trust in time. Animals will always be taken away from their natural habitat, that's the world we live in, and it's not going to change. I'd prefer to take such an animal as a pet and give it the love it deserves, no matter how 'disgusting'.
