people need to be educated about hids... if you're replacing regular filament bulbs, YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BUY a projector housing specifically for hids to properly disperse the light...
it is illegal to use hids without the proper housing, most simply do not know or ignore it as it would be an added expense...
and simply lowering the angle of the stock housing does not cut it, you're still blinding people... repost on other hid vids to educate people and rid the world of this stigma...

@ligon11 you get flashed because our eyes are very sensitive to blue light and usually our iris won't adjust as fast to it. This is why having glare from crappy lights isn't as bad as someone like me flashing 4300k bi-xenon in your face. I'm curious what county law, because in most of the US it would be illegal display of emergency colors. Also blue doesn't refract the same, so you get FAR less usable light, and in the rain it is worthless. Save the money to make the car faster, not ricier.

HID is only illegal when fitted into a halogen reflector headlight. It's the same as if you were to simply aim your headlights wrong, or drive with your high beams on at all times. You MUST retrofit a xenon shroud to properly focus the light to avoid being ticketed.
@CableGuyRyv You do know that most cops really don't care about illegal hid's anymore. I can't speak for every state and how they enforce their lighting laws, but most cops really don't care. I've had 6k, 8k, green, and now 10k all installed in halogen reflector headlights and I've never had a problem with cops.

As I understand it HID IS legal in the USA if the car originally came with it. The difference is that the headlight is set in a projector housing which cuts the beam off not allowing the light to reach oncomer's eyes. Everyone is saying that HID conversion kits are illegal because the older car's stock headlight housing isn't equipped to do this. So if you purchase an aftermarket headlight that includes the projector you should be able to legally use the kit... theoretically. ;P
Only if the after market headlight has a glass projector housing with a sharp cutoff not the plastic look-a-likes most come with. FYI i just did a retrofit with a set of OEM acura projectors.
i would go to a that high of a kelvin bulb.. they will look really blue, but if that what your looking for, it should be fine.. If i were you, i would go with a 4300K bulb, this is the closest to night vision as your going to get.. Thhe 4300K bulbs are "diamond white" and they are what the easiest color for the human eye to pick up, so your headlights will look wicked bright!

Um, 4300K would give you roughly 3200 lumens, the most output available for the road. The more K it is, you are actually losing lumens, thus losing coverage of the road. At 36,000K, you are probably running 0 Lumens. Only a moron would think this is cool.

If anyone thinks 30,000K is bright then you got HID all wrong. 4300K to 6000K will give you the most light output you can get. However, anything above 10K will blind drivers unless you point them correctly. I had my 30K Beam Corrected by a pro so I dont have a prob. HID is Best with Projector Headlights.

Wrong. I have 30,000K Deep Blue. You can get 30,000K in any color you want. In 30,000K the color is just a deep color. My friend has 30,000K Super Yellow. The hint of yellow is very deeply colored yellow. 30,000K is in Yellow, Blue, Purple, Pink, Green, Red.
8k-10K are a Blueish-Whiteish Color. 12K is more of a Dark Blue with a hint of white-purple. 15K is a Violet-Purple color with a hint of Blue.
What the fuck would you need, or want 36,000K HID's for? Think of the other driver's.
I have 4000K Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Bright Headlight/Fog Light and they are bright enough. They are still bright enough for other drivers to flash their brights at me. I hate these HID's, especially because most people who have them have gay ass tuner cars.
Kelvin has NOTHING to do with how bright it is...36,000 is just the color temperature that it runs at. The brightest HID's are 4,000-8,000K

True. I checked on a xenon HID site today and saw the 6000K Whites, but I think I'd still rather spend $20 a bulb for 4000K silverstars, I have a video of them on my page, although the road I was on was kinda crappy so you can't see the brightness of my lights too well.

OEM headlights in high end cars are white. The blue you see its being produced by the cutoff line where it bends the light, not the bulb color

Um, 4300K would give you roughly 3200 lumens, the most output available for the road. The more K it is, you are actually losing lumens, thus losing coverage of the road. At 36,000K, you are probably running 0 Lumens. Only a moron would think this is cool.

do not put hids over than 6000k on projectors!!!!!anything above that will be wayy too deep in color and wont light up anything......

If anyone thinks 30,000K is bright then you got HID all wrong. 4300K to 6000K will give you the most light output you can get. However, anything above 10K will blind drivers unless you point them correctly. I had my 30K Beam Corrected by a pro so I dont have a prob. HID is Best with Projector Headlights.

Everyone who says that these are fake are wrong. They in fact are 36,000k Blue HID's. 30,000k and up will be sold in almost any color of your choosing.

Wrong. I have 30,000K Deep Blue. You can get 30,000K in any color you want. In 30,000K the color is just a deep color. My friend has 30,000K Super Yellow. The hint of yellow is very deeply colored yellow. 30,000K is in Yellow, Blue, Purple, Pink, Green, Red.
8k-10K are a Blueish-Whiteish Color. 12K is more of a Dark Blue with a hint of white-purple. 15K is a Violet-Purple color with a hint of Blue.

What the fuck would you need, or want 36,000K HID's for? Think of the other driver's.
I have 4000K Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Bright Headlight/Fog Light and they are bright enough. They are still bright enough for other drivers to flash their brights at me. I hate these HID's, especially because most people who have them have gay ass tuner cars.

Kelvin has NOTHING to do with how bright it is...36,000 is just the color temperature that it runs at. The brightest HID's are 4,000-8,000K
I have 8,000 in my lows, and 6,000 in my highs....for when people piss me off....that's when i light up the sky. lol.
I HIGHLY doubt that people flash at your sylvania bulbs....i used to have regular halogen like that....and to be honest, once you go with HID's, you never go back to halogen.

Well good, I hate tuners. And yes, people to flash their brights at me.. But then again, the roads I drive on around here are country roads, so it's pitch black out there, and me driving with my headlights and fogs, it's quite blinding.

it's still not the same effect as HID lights, and also, Silverstars have the tendency to burn out prematurely, where HID's will last you a long time.

True, but I don't have the money to spend on HID's, plus I don't think I'd be able to get used to the massive blue tint.
The only HID's I can deal with are the one's like on my sister's Lexus.

True. I checked on a xenon HID site today and saw the 6000K Whites, but I think I'd still rather spend $20 a bulb for 4000K silverstars, I have a video of them on my page, although the road I was on was kinda crappy so you can't see the brightness of my lights too well.

if you look on high-end HID websites they actually do offer them in the 30,000K range....so yes, yes they do make them...dont just judge....however if they really ARE 36k im not sure but they do make them!

then again who am i kidding..all those "high end websites" are just the "upstairs" of the chinese restaraunts(you know the part which you dont see)which claim to have the best kits and the bluest blue lights when all the shit is made in china and it never works..ever..no matter what...then you have to go through warranty cards which apparently never existed...so a lesson for all of us....buy from a store which has a manager who is not from china...
but i believe the part on the pink/purple

30,000 would be purple.
