Have you never heard of an 'interactive whiteboard'? They can do all that and more. Every school in UK has at least a couple.

i think the point is, you just need to attach a few microphones to a surface and you are good to go, rather than setting up a big fancy piece of equipment.

Yes, and they work well in classrooms/boardrooms/lectures and other fixed situations. Why would anyone need a portable interactive whiteboard? What purpose would it be for?

You're not understanding me.

This thing definitely isn't as good as an interactive whiteboard - although it's a lot cheaper and simpler, it doesn't serve the purpose as well. Riding a bike is cheaper and simpler, but it doesn't mean we all do it as a car does the job a lot better.

What about in the field of security systems.. Certainly an excellent method of detecting WHERE certain types of movement is in a room - on suspended floors.
