I LOVE everything about this. There is something honest about these pictures that appeals to me...they tell the story of a nice evening. The music could not be better...unassuming, but totally compelling. What a beautiful tune.
This video... hmm. It is beautiful and almost impressionistic, the pictures emphasizing the fleeting (integral to jazz) while creating a rich sense of atmosphere. But, I have to say, it also makes me feel as if I'm watching Kurt after ten beers and a few xanax, and/or with a serious case of vertigo. But I really like where it's going. I think if the pictures in sync with the beat -- they shift way ahead of it -- it would lose this disorientating and helpless feeling.
A great guitarist, and the other musicians are really together. I like the accents the drummer adds, the bassist looks so intense, I wonder if he ever smiles. He does show passion when he plays. Great job.
I suppose I am a film student. I am not on assignment though. Why that would make a difference I am not sure. This was my best way of recording this night and delivering to a wider public- now some 12000.
I just saw him in Cleveland and hoping he would do this tune after seeing it on here. The concert was incredible, and so is hearing him play turn out the stars. Thanks for posting this. As someone has already mentionened it is truly a gem indeed!
It´s incredible the amount of STUPIDITY that some human beings show sometimes. Even if it´s not a video this incredible gem!! would never be heard if this stop motion film wasn´t made...bavo...kepp them coming....great , great work...
now now!! I'm glad they recorded it it just like you are. but if we're honest they could have done a far greater service to fans by using a half decent video camera, and pointing it at the stage. This looks like a film students assignment or something. but whatever. lets not argue about it eh!
This one was smashing! The next 't wo music' gig will be WILL VINSON/KURT ROSENWINKEL GROUP (New York) on 29th and 30th of April. They will play only originals! Yes!
Yeah, whats the deal with video? Is it supposed to be artsy farsty? It only draws the attention from the music instead of the opposite. I got sick from watching it...still great music, the best player ever to walk the earth. Best regards,
this song wasn't recorded with video, joseph took some silent video and a bunch of really nice photos and stuck some of it together as a visual for the song. greets
Hi, I'm assuming that you are the bass player that played this gig. Firstly, I want to thank you guys again for making it such a memorable experience for me (nevermind the fact that Kurt didn't listen to my requests for 'Turns' or 'Zhivago' :) well, with no pianist around i forgive him!). Secondly, I noticed the drummer recorded the whole show; any chance of uploading it? It was a fantastic gig, and there are, no doubt, many who'd enjoy listening to it. Once again, thanks.

Great work. This style on these videos express the music very well. This is marvelous, the one with Mark Turner is one of my favorites.

The vid is made from 707 images taken at Road Trip and 502 at Charlie Wrights. I recorded the sound in Charlie Wrights.
Kurt is playing again in Charlie Wrights on 19th and 20th of JULY.
you can see some of the stills on my website hibla com/090326KurtRosenwinkel/index.htm
