The Maestro helps the orchesta deliver a fine performance of tough music. Funny... when I conduct from my chair, in such an energitic way the auds or vids do not respond. Bravo, Brava, to listeners, everwhere. GFT
The melody is the same as movement 1. I'm not a musician and figured that out a long time ago. The rhythm is 5/8 timing. It is great! Original! It is remotely like quartet 4!
The piano player's having a right dance hehe...bless! I love this piece it's awesome...fantastic example of snap pizzicato as well (for all you music geeks out there ;-) )!
it's slow, but it's really clean. good for you. And I like it when when the last C Locrian scales are played at a consistant speed and not slpwed down.
Nice feeling to this overall. But is the section at 3:32 really that slow? I have a CSO/Fritz Reiner recording, and there's a difference in character between the sections, but no where near that much difference in tempo.
This is s great performance — excellent dynamics, and good transitions between sections with different tempi. The quirky mixture of fierceness and funkiness is also well captured.
This conductor really brings out the truth that Bartok can be enormous fun to listen to.
Good one. Sometimes Bartok can be interpreted so blandly. This has feeling, movement, drama. I think this conductor knows his Bartok. Who is he. I wanna hear more from him.
