I like your concept. It's still rough, but keep at it; I think you have something in doing a silent movie homage. A few suggestions: If your are going to use the silent movie motif, your camera work should be a little more static (study this more). Put your camera on a tripod and use your pan and tilt. Don't use hand-held camera. Also, try and degrade your image a little more. Finally, pay a more attention to your composition and keep your characters in frame. Anyway, good luck.
