  • great gun man am getting one need to save about 100$ more bucks then off to the woods i goo . tennesse walker

  • Nice gun.

  • Thanks for the video. That's a beauty!! That will be my first handgun. I love big bores. Im now shooting a 45 70 Gov Marlin and a Winchester 30 30 so Im used to the recoil. Just love the sound blast and the kick. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for the video. Nice job! I've been thinking of trading in my P.O.S. Rossi 97104 for one of these. You just helped seal the deal. That's a nice little gun. Now all I have to do is decide between the 3 inch barrel or the 2 1/4 inch barrel with the spurless hammer. Leaning toward the latter.

  • HAD ONE OF THESE...BUT THE GP100 CAN ACTUALLY BE USED TO HIT SOMETHING WITH.

  • Those SP101 are built like tanks

  • Very nice looking gun. Good work with the polishing. Rugers always have some rough tool/machining marks, but to me it's become kind of a part of their character. Nice gun, nice video.

  • also u aim like a bitch u bitch

  • that gun is so sexy i just want to stick y duck in it

  • @robajack1 Watch it buddy! out here in Oregon, we never stuck a duck in it! Quack Quack Quack...lol

  • I just added a set of Badger boot grips to mine. It's now my favorite revolver. Thanks for posting!

  • The best thing you can do with an sp101 is add laser grips. Also if you shoot 38+p, the extractor works more consistantly and night blast is much diminished. That makes it a good carry option.

  • Sir..checking to see if firearm is loaded? You've just hit the top of the "Brains" list! Most times I've witness those who just pick up firearm...pull the trigger?

  • I like the grips. I have got a 3 inch and man 357 kicks hard. Never thought Id say that. What parts did you clean up? Nice work with the I phone too man!

  • cool gun but i am getting sea sick watching shoot the next vid on land. ;)

  • @GozonTheGonsarian Aye Capt'n! I made my tripod mount for my iPhone so it is better now!

  • funny comments...sweet gun gro, nice vid.

  • it was about 10 years ago shot 100 rounds and hornady thru it took it home cleaned it. put it up in the safe a month later took it out racked the slide twice and the front portion of the slide broke off

  • Ill give you this, you are a twisted individual, and for that I give you respect. As far as what you posted, the url is bad, wont let me view it. On a serious note, if this is true, how many round did you put through it and what size/metal type is it?

  • Great video!! I have the LCR 357 mag and love it.I think this will be my next new wheel gun. Sorry you got a bunch of immature viewers.

  • @Glock23lovinit Thanks!! I had a hard time deciding between the LCR and theSP. I predict that one day a LCR will follow me home too.

  • I looked at the sw model 60, but didn't like it as much as the Ruger sp101. Ruger was heavier and didn't have that locking system. However, the trigger on the 60 seemed lighter.

  • @tacticalkimchi The Smith's have a much smoother action for sure (leaf spring vs coil). The Ruger's action can be slicked up, but it is still hard to beat an out of the box Smith. I don't care much for the lock on the Smith's either.

  • @fuckbutshakir Troll much? Your poor grammar and senseless attacks are less than convincing. you should work on that. BTW, Sigma's are the biggest turd I have ever seen.

  • @tjh141994 your a fucking idiot sigmas can kill anything in quality you stupid nigga

  • @fuckbutshakir You are a smart one arent you? Seriously, just because you can not afford nice quality firearms, dont trash talk people that can. I am going to go ahead and make an assumption that you own a sigma? Well I own a few kimbers and a sp101 in 327 mag, and the day a sigma can touch one of those, my shit will look like rainbow sherbert. Im going to also guess that you think a high point is better than a wilson combat?.?.right?

  • @Cdubp01 are you fucking kidding me hi point suck shit and i have owned to kimbers the slides cracked on one and the other just could not feed from any fucking magazine. i can aford hi quality guns just my opinon is better than yours any day of the week. any body that doesnt like smiths can put there huge dick in my tight ass

  • @fuckbutshakir Yea, im not even going to further this arguement since you are clearly full of shit-the slide on a kimber cracking? please. Post pictures of this on your page, then maybe, just maybe Ill start to believe a word that comes out of your mouth. And I never talked crap on smiths as a whole, just sigmas, and your the one that started that. I have had a few chiefs specials and enjoyed them plenty. No thnx, Im straight, but its cool if your gay.

  • @Cdubp01 i will spred my ass and you could plung your huge moster cock and rock me till my bug hole bleeds and then you could poop in my mouth

  • @Cdubp01 look on my wall lover

  • @fuckbutshakir What the hell is wrong with you you moron...this is a gun forum you clown. If you want to talk like this...piss off and sign up for 'ass fucking moron rednecks monthly' or something. You immature prick.

  • @fuckbutshakir....its time for bed for you I think, you immature halfwit. If you can't talk nice with the grown ups, don't talk at all, toilet mouth.

  • @fuckbutshakir I think I hear your third grade teacher calling you back to class. Tell her to to wash your nasty little mouth out with soap, then you need to work on your grammar and spelling. P.S. looking at your name, maybe you should consider professional counselling.

Have you decided which prison you will graduate from? Oh no!! I think I hear you hitting the keyboard and letters are something like,"F..K YOU FAGGOT". Good day.

  • Im 14 and today was my first time shooting a pistol, my dad has this gun in .38 special and i loved it, put 45 rounds through it today

  • I'm thinking of one of these for my wife. Had on in .32 H+R magnum and shooting .32 Longs was akin to shooting .22 in felt recoil. Reallygood option for recoil sensative people. SP101 is well constructed and certainly can manage .38 Special. Previously owned a S+W Model 649 and found it about the ideal weight for carry and also managed recoil well.

  • great size for hiking, a nice finish to a camping kit. good vid

  • hey you probly get this question alot, but how much would one of these cost? i'd like to get me one of these.

  • @Marzz5585 New, they go for about $500. You can find them used for a little less.

  • @tjh141994 thanks alot for the info bud, great reviews and nice revolver!

  • @buckwheat40 The recoil is very manegable, especially with the hogue grips. As far as the finish goes, you could always duracoat it black. That would look pretty slick.

  • hows the recoil and i dont like the shiny steel finish. Anyone know where to get it painted or dull the finish??

  • please buy a tripod for your camera and use it. at least brace your cameraphone against something. you don't want to make your viewers seasick.

  • @wayneuber I have looked, but have been unable to find a tripod mount. i had to fabricate one myself so I could attach it to the tripod I already had. I have used it in every video I have made since this one. Thanks for your concern.

  • looks nicer with those grips

  • You got a decent deal on that - my local Gander Mtn wants $550!!!

  • @12799MaDeuce That's what they wanted for mine, but they matched the price from another local gun store.

  • Regardless of cost, these are very good in terms of operation - workability - durability. But my constant complaint with Ruger is the crude, imprecise and near inferior machining, milling, fit and finish. Ruger's attitude is so what but they really need to get their act together on that. The plunger is a joke, inexcusably rattles.

  • @death2pc I agree 100%. I have yet to get a perfect gun from Ruger. My Colt 1911 on the other hand, came to me absolutely flawless.

  • I had a trigger job done on mine and it was my primary carry for some time. It is a good reliable gun. .38 out of this gun is easily handled.

  • I AGREE!!! I got the 3" D.A. with Hogue grips put on and that thing is a tank! The accuracy and durability is so impressive and still very concealable. The .357s are fun on the range and hollow point .357s are ideal for HD, but the .38s make it an extremely fun and comfortable gun. I reccomend it for all types of shooters.

  • Real studs carry the 3" model like I do!

  • @SuperSneakySteve I guess I'm a real stud then lol

  • Im lookin unto getin a sp101 or a glock 30 as my ccw the only thing im thinkin is the glock holds 10+1 but do u think 5 rounds of 357 is enough also at my local gun shop the sp101 is 480 and the glock is 620 and im not sure if the glock is worth a extra 140 any input woul be great thanks

  • @aseel3110 Sorry for not getting back with you sooner; school and such. Five rounds of .357magnum is plenty, assuming you can hit the target. The Glock 30 is a great choice too, I guess it boils down to personal preference. Get the gun you want. I would handle both before you make a decision.

  • Nice gun. I have the same one and replaced the grip as well.

  • Nice gun, I love mine. It's my edc piece.

  • I just traded my Glock 26 9mm for the ruger GP100 .357 with the 4" barrel, stainless steel. This is a really nice revolver but I'd rather have yours, the snub .357 appeals to me more. Let's trade.

  • @RECONDO101st lol I have the SP101 in 3 inch and would like to have the GP100 in 4" barrel.

  • @freeheretic111 Thanks! I love mine too. I would like to add a GP100 sometime as well.

  • Nice man!!!...I've got two of them one in 2.5 and 3" inch.

  • nice gun friend. i have a ruger speed six also is .357 i like your gun friend .

  • @uzi2004 Thanks!! Yes, it is normal for the ejector rod to be loose, it has to do with the design.

  • Great vid! Question my cylinder pin seems very loose is that normal on the sp101 or is there something I can do to stop it from wiggling?

  • @theArmedJanitor Yeah they have really improved over the last few years. My Ruger Bearcat I got in 2008 was a total dog. I think it was finished with a garden hoe! My friend just got a new Redhawk and it looks incredible.

  • they sure do look great. have shot one many of times but sorry to say im not the proud owener

  • @lskw1 Yes they do! Thanks for stopping by.
