I know exactly how you feel, there are days when I just pass Leyla to daddy and take a shower, it always helps me to feel better. But I know its rough, because it is constant holding/entertaining.. hello there,.. my daughter will be 5 months on the 24th..where does the time go? it's good to hear im not the only one who gets annoyed.. haha...its human! i guess this is the age where they need to be constantly entertained and want to be held... i look forward to the day she goes in the playpen and entertains herself! my daughter has been sleeping 10-12 hours at night since she was 9 weeks,.im lucky for that! but her naps during the day are always inconsistent! good luck to you!
Im sorry to hear ur feelin this way... Unfortunately i cant really help 2much, the only time i felt like that w/ my son was wen i had PND. I absolutely CULD NOT stand 2hear/see him. But i started seein a counsellor n was put on anti-depres. meds and after a wk, we had Kaiden com bak home (he stayed w/ his Gran). Myabe u culd try talkin 2a counsellor?
Now tho, Kaiden is 21mth, he rarely sleeps durin the day but sleeps from 9:30pm-11:00am. Started sleepin thru the nite at 18wks.
Please don't feel like you're alone with your need for personal space I'm sure every mum/primary carer has felt the same at times You have to remember that basically babies take over your whole body and a fair bit of space around it LoL and that is sooooo overwhelming It's very obvious that you love him to pieces ( never really got that saying..mmmm)

I feel you on the sleep schedule. Actually the thing about babies sleeping less during the day makes them sleep more at night is a myth. I think that babies sleep schedules will vary depending on their growth spirts. It is kind of frustrating actually. Just when you think they are gonna sleep throughout the night, they start waking up again. Isabel has done this occassionally-like month 4 and now again approaching month 6. BTW- We can't be a 24 hour entertainment system or we'd GO CRAZY!
i feel the EXACT same way girl!! my son jayden was born on Dec.6th so him and tadhg are fairly close in age. sometimes I just need a break too and have to pass him off. i swear I don't kno how the single ladies out thier do it!!! i can get jayden to sit in his exersaucer for a little while. i see that tadhg likes to stand up maybe he would like an exersaucer......
If it makes you feel better, I am the same way. sometimes you need a little me time. I'm home all day with Derek and when my husband gets home I'm like take him for 5 mins. He is an awesome kid but sometimes you need to be a grown up. About the sleeping thing good luck with that! Derek is almost 7 weeks. We started keeping him up as much as possible from about 7pm to 10pm and he started sleeping from about 10pm to 5 or 6 am. One time this week he work up at 3 am but hes doing well. Take care!
i hear ya on the trying to be entertaining all the time! it drives me nuts too! but everydau is different so its not so bad!! i have a almost 19 week old 4 month old! she very good with playing by herself but she reaches a point when she gets bored and then i step in and play with her!! good job tho hes such a cutie pie
He is just so cute! Its okay to feel overwhelmed and to feel like you just have to get away and like you can't be around your kids for a little bit! I feel like that all the time...especially with my 4 year old. She just asks a million questions and gets into EVERYTHING!!! It makes you feel like a bad mom to say that you just have to be alone, but its more important for you to be happy and good for your kids. And sometimes that just means taking a time out!! I hope everything gets better!
He is an absolute doll! I just love watching Tadgh. (I think that's how it's spelled...) He's just so sweet! And it's normal to get overwhelmed. I don't know what I'd do without Jacob either... I don't know how single mothers do it!
Gosh he looks like you ! He is so cute! Just stay strong with the sleep schedule , he will eventually get it ! I was so lucky with my son, he slept 8+ hours a night since he was 1 month old ! I was soooooooooooooo happy , But every baby is different you might not get a good night sleep till he is over a year old . Have you tried other methods during the day when you want to get stuff done ? Such a letting him just sit and play solitary ? Watch TV or Baby Einstein movies ?
wow he sleep thro the night pretty much thats great ... its normal to feel overwelmed your adjesting to life with him ...just get out for an hour or two you need some mom time but dont worry your a great mom

Even tho he doesnt really sleep durin the day, hes always happy to entertain himself so i dont hav 2b 24/7 entertainin him which is really gd!

Derek got weighed Monday and he is 13 lbs. They grow so fast in the infant stage
