  • Say Garland at the Bottom Line in 1979 and was just an amazing show. Love what jperryfan said below. Some just great act's back then that many people didn't know of. Doug & The Slugs, just to name a few. Garland brought the house down. And Lou Reed was in audience.

  • YES I'm also 53 and from NYC and when I hear this I still feel 19. Happy for us Garland didn't becomes superstars and we could keep him for ourselves tho sad for him and other artists (Willy DeVille, Jim Carroll) RIP could not gain acceptance here in the US.

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE MISSING! new disc is great and love "Roller Coaster Town". Makes me think of Lou Reed yet feel old but still alive. Hey remember the 70's? Sad if you do. or don't

  • I remember the first time I heard this on Garland Jeffries live. He was ignored in the US but they love him in Europe.

  • Not too bad. I like the Album version better. This was over 30 years ago ... I'm 53, but it still stuns me sometimes when I start doing the math & see how long ago something was, 'cuz most days I still feel like I'm 19 ! :-) Personally, I don't think Garland Jeffreys gets enough credit out there, he's great!
