@Lex90210 btw: kanji means like how you pronnounce the japanese words but the letters are in english like yuki's name: itsa like 'yu' 'ki' 'na' 'ga' 'to' thats how you would say and spell it in english and the origonal one would be in japanese kanjis (japanese characters)

@jascarly123 lol well, I don't know about Chinese that much. My teacher just told me that Chinese characters is called Kanji. He never said anything about there being two types. Maybe for Cantonese and Mandarin. But yes Japanese has two types of writing. Katakana and Hiragana. Hiragana is somthing that they use often like normal writing. And what is interesting about Katakana is that it's used when they don't have a Japanese word for something. Like tape, they don't have a Japanese word for it.
