  • Its impossible to learn in three years.. yeah right,in your head maybe!

  • How the heck can't you tell that is squid??

  • Wasabi on the rice... to cover up the taste of fish that isn't fresh. Yuck.

  • @silvermediastudio Traditional nigiri sushi (not Americanized) has the wasabi already applied underneath the fish. The sushi chef is supposed to apply the "perfect" amount for whatever variety he is making.

You're probably one of those that dips the rice into shoyu without knowing any better. If you don't know what you're talking about, expect to be called out on it when wrongly criticizing others.

  • @defiantclass No Sir, in fact, I rarely use soy. If I do, just the corner of the fish, then flip, and fish-first on the tongue. See, I've heard both. Some sushi chefs in USA apply wasabi to the fish, some do not. A very old Japanese man told me that the wasabi is to cover up the taste of fish that isn't entirely fresh. I guess it just depends on who the chef is and where you go. I prefer to taste the subtleties of the flavor.

  • Ahh,, Nederlands ;)
