I bought this DVD/CD set 2 days ago.. and it was amazing to watch the complete black water park show... the atmosphere and mikael and other band members' renditions were perfect through out the show..! I especially liked Dirge For November. The original track was of course great though, this live one sounded even better!

Opeth is phemonimal...but I don't like the sound of Mikael's screaming at this venue as much as normal. It's like the mic didn't capture enough bass from his voice or something. I don't know, it's just too scratchy. But the band is still my favorite.

something about this dvd just makes me like the roundhouse tapes more. i know the setlist on this dvd is beyond epic. but the overall sound for me is quite lacking compared to the roundhouse. maybe its not having peter or axe not playing on his usual kit or the way its mixed. and is it just me or mike's growling is less brutal than usual. let's hope he had sore throat or something. but that can't be because his singing voice is actually better than i've ever heard him. hmm...

Whilst a pit might be fun for certain music (Cannbial Corpse etc), Opeth is simply too complex a band (musically, emotionally and dynamically), with music far too beautiful for moshing. The only way to appreciate Opeth is to stand there and quietly take in the complexity, the contradictions, the beauty and the contrast within the music, instead of using the heavy parts as an excuse to mindlessly get involved in a pit.

At least that's my opinion, anyway...

If you want yourself to let go during the heavy parts and don't annoy the people around you with moshing, it's your way to express yourself and your feelings. If it fits for you, it's fine. Why not? Basically it's about enjoying the music and also let other people enjoy it their way, without disturbing them. When this means moshing it's a bit tricky, but hey... personally I listen to it your way, btw ;D

As DanielAbbasi07 says, we had the flag to show our support from Norway, and Opeth knows that. It is not a big deal to bring a national flag to a concert. Just take a look to Metallica: At their concert in Oslo july 09 i saw Norwegian, Swedish, English, Russian, Danish and even an Brazilian flag.

I just don't get it, why someone would bring a nationalflag of their own country to a concert. Never saw that in Germany somebody brought a German flag to a concert of Opeth or some other band that's not from Germany. Also on DVDs I always only saw flags of the country the band was from.
