Hannah Sennesh was a freedom fighter that went on a mission to join a partisan group during the reign of Nazi Germany over Hungary. She was then captured and tortured to death by the militery. She was also a poet and this is the poem she wrote just before leaving on her mission - she asks god for the gifts of nature to never end - and more than that, the hope in human hearts to be eternal (the parayers of mankind).

It is not part of a prayer it is a song written by a courageous woman called Hannah Senesh [my spelling is likely to be wrong] she wrote this when in captivity
@fadedsmilebrokenhear Actually that's not correct, my friend. Senesh was writing the song in the Israeli kibbutz of Sdot Yam in the year 1942. Only the year after, she joined the British army voluntarily (how courageous of her!), then she was captured and tortured by the Hungarians. It was the song "So Young to Die" that she wrote in jail, before she was slain by the Nazis the year after (1944) :-)
