Thanks for this video, big fish. I used to catch & release these on my grandma's ranch- on the Boulder river, my relatives thought I was crazy, because they love to eat these. I'm from California and was after trout.
There ain't nothing wrong with catching a whitefish! Spent a day on the White River @ Meeker CO and I caught over 45 of them that day, in addition to 8 trout, needless to say my shoulder hurt when I went to bed that night! They definately fight!!!
i caught one of these on the green river on a elk hair caddis dry i was confused im from pa ? and not familar with them but i could not belive it hit on top ... it was also probably 21 -23 inches enourmous .. but for a whitefish obviously still big ??? and are they endangered
