Yeah they don't really waste any more weed than smoking from anything else. The only weed wasted is at the tip of the blunt/spliff but one can compare that with the smoke from a bowl that has just been hit. I agree, you get pretty much the same high from a bong too. People just take bigger hits from the bong cause it's easier, but the smoke is thicker from a spliff.
