Wow, a real young Kasarova! Singing Annio... I'm used hearing and seeing her as Sesto, she the real Sesto to me! Nice to hear her as Annio A younger voice but the real 'bulgarian soul ;-)' in it. Is there a DVD available? I have almost all her DVD's. Btw; I've spoken to her last december, really nice woman!

I'm afraid there is no DVD (or even commercial CD) of her as Annio that I know of, though we're lucky to have 2 with her as Sesto. :o) Hopefully the Carmen debut last year at Opernhaus Zurich would be released as DVD in a year or two. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and knocking on woods. ;o)

No, I was at the sundaymorning concert in the Concertgebouw and I went backstage. She sang e.a. Berlioz' Nuits d'ete.
The Carmen you meen is with Jonas Kaufmann isn't it? Hopefully it will appear on DVD! She's sang Carmen at Vienna last February.
Do you know if there is a DVD of her as Ruggiero at Bav. State Opera (with Anja Harteros?). I saw the trailer and I love it! I ordered the cd but Kasarova is marvelous while acting! Thnx for your reaction.

Hiya. Yup, the Carmen with Jonas Kaufmann was definitely taped (they actually broadcast it live to an outdoor screen).
I'm afraid the folks at Studio Farao insist that they haven't got a video tape of that Alcina (tho it seems there are many clips from the dress rehearsal). :o( I've seen a clip of her doing 'Mi lusinga' at Paris Opera, too (but it was taken off the site now).
O well, maybe they'll tape her Bellini Romeo in 2011, ay?
