très bon choix des solos, je pense comme même que Tony est un excellent guitariste, ses solos son très dures à réalises, c'est surtout des montés-descentes sur le manche de la guitare et c'est très dure à faire au médiator, mais Jinmi rente peut être Le meilleur guitariste au monde.

Its a tie: Jimi Hendrix was ahead of his time and invented the deffintion of what a rock and roll guitarist should be. He invented the styles that modern guitarists (such as buckethead) constantly use. His psychedelic blues forever changed music from that lovey peace nic crap to true rock and roll. Tony Iommi even though less famous in somes way accomplished more than hendrix, maybe because he only played with two of his orgnial fingers!!!

I Preffer Iommi,I think his solos have more feeling,and also his riff's are the best in the world.

But Both of them are very awesome.

Also Iommi created one of the best style's of music in the world,which is the heavy metal.

And there's also one thing,he lost 2 pieces of his fingers.Which makes it much harder to play.

i can't tell you who's really the best, 2 differnts styles , iommi was the godfather of metal but wasn't hendrix as inventive as iommi?? i think they are good ......

and the last thing, ok he is missing 2 pieces of his finger but he made something to fit his fingers and this is what made iommi inventive, it made the sound of sabbath...

iommi's rifs really are great...

Hendrix is way better than Iommi. No doubt about it. He's more versatile and a better player. Iommi would tell you that himself.

Jimi Hendrix played different modes, scales and styles. To the best of my knowledge, as far as the Ozzy albums are concerned, Iommi played no clean riffs at all on those early Black Sabbath albums nor did he use any effects or play anything that sounded different than anything else he played. He played all pentatonic scales and shit. Power chords. It is good and it was original at the time but that does not make him better than Hendrix, who was extremely unique and different.

Iommi has a mock scale named after him: the Iomian scale because all he played was the natural minor scale and the major scale in pretty much every black sabbath song.

At the same time however Iommi actually knows music theory. He knows quite a bit of theory. He rarely uses it while writing music but he has revealed his reletively large amount of knowledge for it. And unlike Hendrix, Iommi didn't mess up much live.

I like Hendrix much better and hes more innovative. But tony's good too.

both are excalent gutairist but i would have to give it to tony due to the fact he has missing fingers and that he continued playing after the accident most people would of cried to their mommys. TONY for the slight win

It's Iommi, definitely! Although Hendrix was a great guitarist who could play really well, he could NOT write very good music! Iommi, even if you condensed all of his material to the first four Sabbath albums (which still leaves out so much great music!) he still has achieved more than Hendrix ever did especially because of how well he can write riffs and put them into POWERFUL, AMAZING SONGS, not random guitar solos, but SONGS! Jimi, with all of his talent, could never do that!
