  • round of applause!! I love your video but i ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR COMMENT MORE!!!! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! :)

  • @MisterBeaucoup it would be risky, I'm White too (just curious about black hair:P) and I've heard of your hair is isn't afro you dont need the relaxer and it will just damage your hair more, it may even fall out:/

  • I'm a white girl, but my hair is a mess. I've tried leave-in conditioner and hairspray, but I can't get rid of the frizz. I've tried this grease-like stuff before, but it made my hair too stringy and oily. I've been tempted to try some relaxer, but I worry it might damage my hair. Do you think it'd be safe to try??

  • @MisterBeaucoup

you should probably try wen hair products

  • @MisterBeaucoup If you do it right, or go get it done professionally you will be fine

  • GASP!!!! I saw you scratch your head!!! its going to burn!!

  • Ur hair looks nice

  • i got a nappy for... will this work 4 me lol???

  • I really like how you relaxed your hair. I just don't know why you put rollers in if you brush them out? Does that make the hair look better? I'm not a professional or anything I'm just trying to figure out how to do my hair. I can't spend $200 at a salon in this recession. And what do I do if I don't have the dryer you sit under? Oh and I like your description.

  • Classy101akasassy r u serious i kno more bout hair then all u nd im 13

  • what if you don't have a dryer

  • the generalizations abound in some of the comments for instance, "women w/ natural hair r full of confidence," all of them? that comment really gets right in my... it implies that women who choose to do anything else have a lack of esteem. i wish some would realize that hair does not make u, it enhances u. and those that r confident not just w/ the way they look don't waste time trying to tear down others. i wish everyone a happy healthy mind, body and spirit

  • @MrsSashee it would curl your hair if is already straight cause relaxer is just basically a perm that wat relaxer is so hope that helps

  • @MrsSashee it would curl your hair if is already straight cause relaxer is just basically a perm that wat relaxer is so hope that helps

  • @MrsSashee it would curl your hair if is already straight cause relaxer is just basically a perm that wat relaxer is so hope that helps

  • mmmm perm.........

  • oh wooow it looks so nice,i have noooo idea what to do wiv my hair lol.

  • I don't understand why black girls straightener their hair.. I mean it's your choice! but as a girl with straight straight hair, I think that curly and super curly hair is gorgeous!

  • I was wondering, what would a relaxer do on my already straight, lighter, cucasian hair? nothing, or would it make it pin straight

  • alright go girl! i like that "My soul is a birth right that has been handed down from generations of beautiful black women and men and I never have to look to define my heritage by the texture, length or color of my hair but rather by the love, diginity and power of my family."

  • Your hair looks beautiful

  • Again people need to stop talking negative... I totally agree with you I have been natural for over three years now and I can't stand it anymore especially in the summer it is the worse but I have been researching and found that many women hair has grown tremendously with a relaxer so on that note I'll be back to getting one soon... but at the salon not on my own...

  • Her hair looked pretty at the end but like 3 yrs ago some white lady messed up my relaxer and most of my hair fell out (I WAS PISSED) now I'm just trying to grow it out but I get it relaxed every like 2 weeks but now i'm getting micros! Black hair=too damn difficult!

  • NOTE: I have nothing against ladies who relax their hair. but why is relaxing when she hardly has any new growth?

  • I think some of these natural hair ladies need to take a chill pill. Yes I am natural but I still enjoy watching relaxed videos as well just to see what they do to their hair. When I was releaxed I did the same thing but I watched natural hair videos. I will never go back to a relaxer for my own personal reasons but I dont knock another person who chooses to relax because I once did the same thing. So why should I sit on a high horse like I am "blacker" or better than anyone else?!?

  • Thinking about growing my hair out and relaxing it. I'm an Asian male.

  • do you have someone related to you named azailah or something close to that???

  • YOU HELPED ME SOO MUCH THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME DOING MY OWN RELAXER AND....NONE OF MY HAIR CAME OUT LOL THANX

  • i hate relaxing my hair and i thought if i got corn rows that i wouldnt have to relax it..............but i had to yesterday :(

  • what does wrapping your hair do?

  • How do u straighten your hair like that in the (stripe black and white shirt) can u please tell me what to do..

  • burn is perfect

  • You brave to do your own relaxer. First time I tried it I was petrified!

  • Hair relaxers are out of style.

  • I went natural last year...did the big chop and all and while i loved my big 4c fro I wanted lenth and feelt ill equipt to uptain the lenthy hair i want because of my unmanageble easily tangled texture...sooo i relapsed. my har is growin down my back. i take care of my end and try to streth my relaxers for 8 to 10 weeks. i say know your goal and from there do what works for you every one and girl your hair look great! im looking for that layer tutorial right now!

  • I can't believe you can keep the perm cream so neat and tidy.

  • thanks for the tutorial :)

  • cute!!

  • That was a really good video. Congrats!

  • Natural hair people make me sick i swear when i was natural I never thought it was a religion. People are always trying to impose their believes on people. How would u like if some one talked your nappy headed behinde into shaving your head. My goodness. I love my natural hair and i am 100% african but i young and want to try different things I mean stop making hair your life its hair (dead cells) trust me ladies it will grow back.

  • girl let me tell you some thing you are so pretty keep up on the way u are doing

  • do you think a relaxer can work on my hair im hispanic and i have really curly hair

  • @GATITA7165 it'll work fine on your hair, most hispanic I know tend to relax their curly hair straight.

  • I use dark and lovely relaxer, but my momma puts it thru my whole head, every piece of hair and scalp and all.

  • That is the advantage in myself being Biracial. (Black/White)

I don't have to deal with screwed up African girl hair.

  • @Sinnerswing African girl hair? Really though? You sound ignorant. You're still part "African" boo and just because you are biracial doesn't mean your hair is better than someone that isn't biracial. I'm 100% black and I've had natural and relaxed hair. It's no better or worse way to go.

  • I agree with the comments about respecting a person's choice to do what they want with their hair. I'm also curious as to why women who wear their natural are even watching a video about relaxing. I'm proud of those who've chosen to go natural but please respect those of us who have not.

  • @smr1024 Some women who go natural have relapses... I should know, I've been natural for 15 years, but I'm still fighting a war with myself and everyone around me. The only reason I was ever moved to relax my hair was out of pain and hatred. Even know I feel I must relax my hair in order to be acceptable and beautiful. It's a long hard road.

  • could i suggest that after washing your conditioner out, you blowdry the hair then use the flat iron as your hair has been under tremendous heat with the roller and wrap set you may find the hair will have a bit more bounce after you blow dry and flat iron on top, otherwise good job!

  • Great Video!

  • Do you ever clip you ends because they are really bad? If you would clip them after you r relaxer you hair would look much better. Also I had a client that uses those same products on her hair and her hair was extremely rough in texture because of the calcium buildup from the no-lye. I changed her to a professional relaxer and its getting back on track.

  • @FAITHFULT ok

  • @FAITHFULT The lye relaxers have ill effects also.

  • Creamy Crack....I wisht this stuff was never invented there are ways to straighten your hair w/o going to this extreme.

  • @simone23803 you forgot to read the info box

  • @simone23803 Creamy Crack are you serious? there are plenty of women who use relaxers that have hair down to their hips. Glad you got what works for you, but can we please be a little more mature. Some like natural hair and others like relaxed. In my opinion calling it Creamy Crack would be the same if I came to a natural video and called someone's hair nappy or any other word that would bring insult. I say let every woman do what makes her feel good about her hair.

  • @juel256 nappy hair is happy hair. and people feel good sometimes when someone says their hair is nappy cus thats the way thier original texture is. but for me its NO BIG DEAL, for other people it might be.

  • @juel256 yes it its just that harsh chemicals that break the bondage of ur hair aka it's crack!!!! and for you information no i wouldnt care if u went on a natural hair care video and called sum1's hair nappy, u see natural women are confident and self assured and why would u think natural hair is nappy is b/c it isn't straight??? u are clearly eurocentriclly influenced but to each it's own.

  • @simone23803 I relax! My hair looks and feels awesome! Everyone has always loved my hair! You love yours! I'm sure yours is awesome! You're here for a reason. This can't be the first time you've ever seen a perm being applied. She's already given a disclaimer at the top. Whatevr your reason.... we actually can all be sweet to our sisters who clearly don't want natural hair. What is this really all about? I've always been curious as to why I see so many negative comments from natural women.

  • @juel256 lol nappy hair is not an insult, trust me in natural. we could care less! you taking this wayy too seriously creamy crack term has been there for a while, chris rock only brought it up and it blew! thats how we call a relaxer period, no need to get overly sensitive (for nothing really).

  • @simone23803 like what? thermal? that just frys it

  • hello..i am a guy n i have terribly frizzy n rough hair..i wanna do a relaxing n wanna know how long it lasts n does the hair become more frizzier after the relaxing effect goes??pls reply..thank you

  • @mulholland1985 once you relax your hair the hair stays straght forever because the protein bonds have been permanently altered. To reverse this you will have to cut off the relaxed hair. When more hair grows in you will need to relax this as well or else you will have two different hair textures in your head. For more information I would suggest you consult a cosmetologist before making a decision.

  • you did a great job, love it

  • Is there any advice that you could suggest for biracial hair (I'm half white/half black)?

  • @Kasidy92 No, not really because I don't believe bi-racial to be a hair type. Everyone in every ethnic background has a different hair type from others within their own background, so by saying you are bi-racial (half white/half black) that explains your ethnicity but not you hair texture and/or your hair issues & concerns.

  • @Kasidy92 yea just because you are (half white/half black) doesnt mean your hair will always be wavy/curly. i have a biracial friend same as you, and her hair is really course, she always touches MY hair, and im black. within a race or 2 races, hair texture varies, and is different.

  • @Kasidy92 Stay away from a relaxer, and use a flat iron.

  • that seems like allot of work but its worth it

  • This is a great tutorial because this week Im going to perm my hair with the same Olive Oil Relaxer :D so thanks for all the info. :)

  • She did a relaxer than after wards pretty much a 'doobie, good choice.

  • I like the buffed up look..:-)

  • wat u have in the description box is so true i am natural and it is not because of all the serade of finding ur own self it because i didnt know how to take care of relaxed hair and now i am learning so i can relax it and make sure it is heathly..........i have very sensitive scalp and 4c hair so combing it leaves me in tears and some ppl fail to understand that relaxing your hair doesnt defind you

  • lol no, no one ever reads the description box. im honestly starting to believe a good chunk of yt viewers CANT read.

  • @mcamurray I think they read it, but don't care. Hell, when you post something viral, be ready for responses whether you like them, or not.

  • would this work on my hair i mean im white but i have really frizzy curlly hair and im dieing for some straight hair and im a boy.... think you could help me out if i can?

  • @guitarturturial789 Do a strand test and see. By strand test I mean pull out a strand of your hair relax it and see if it works, if it does then do it to your whole head I have someone do it if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

  • @guitarturturial789 the relaxer will work but once you get it you will have to retouch your roots every 3 months

  • Yess:)! keep them coming please. Im trying to start a new hair journey to healthier hair and im glad for this vid. Me and ur hair type are similar so im glad u have ur hair regiems to guide me thru ma hair journey! AND WAT U SAID BOUT THE BROTHAS AND SIS WHO DONT BELIEVE IN RELAXED HAIR.... U COULDNT OF SAID IT ANY BETTER GIRL!:)

  • Your camera is so clear!!! What camera do you have? Great video on your relaxer application!

  • relaxers r scary.. my fav is the organic olive oil brand.. check out my video to see my hair journey

  • you did good! ladies remember to WEAR GLOVES AT ALL TIMES when your puttin the relaxer in.

  • looks good

  • watchin u do that brought back vivid childhood memories. i'd watch my mom, aunts and cousins do their hair. i can still recall the smell of relaxer and oil sheen. my aunt used to always burn her ears with the curling iron. lol by the way, u didn't look jacked at all.

  • @mightabeenking ;-) thank you!!

  • man when I use to relax my hair I would put the chemicals all over my hair! it was probably so over processed. This was great! I have a queastion why do you have to sit under the dryer all that time and then flat iron it?

  • @kkimberly2004 It really depends on my mood. Most often I will just do a roller set and leave not wrap it. Other times I want it to look a little more lived-in - like the way it look the next day after you get it done at a salon - so I warpped it then went over with a flat iron but I still get to keep all of the body from the roller set. Hope that helps!!!

  • @AngelMicheleMUA lol I knew there was a method to your madness! lol thank you very much!

  • i love youre video everything with coco is my feruate
