  • I remember Obamas first month in office everyone were saying how good he is going to be and all the great things he said he would do. Then i respond to someones comment about making fun of Bush and i point out all the negatives about Obama. Then i recieved many nasty comments back calling me racist. When i say the same thing to people now, they all agree with me.

  • he is Sotona

  • The interviewer asked Bush a question that didn't even make sense. Imagine you are inside a burning house. You can either find a way out or stay inside right? It's not possible to do something in between that, like the question the guy asked. The American troops could either 'cut and run' or 'stay the course'. They're the only options!

  • the difference between your metaphor and whats really happening is that iraq or afghanistan are not on fire. were killing 2 birds with one stone here. we protect the oil were so attached to and keep iran within reach. its perfect. if you look at a list of contries not affected by democracy its like burma, north korea, iran, was iraq :). we are winning the cold war. FUCK YEA

  • watch the 'obama deception' on google videos.

  • That was my favorite political catchphrase...

  • i think the american people like being lied to. i've never heard of Jimmy Carter lying, he got booted out of office. Reagan-liar, Bush Sr- liar, Clinton-liar, George W Bush- total disaster. The American people don't really care about honesty. They want a good looking, charismatic president to tell them what they want to hear.

  • yes, unfortunatly you are correct.

  • Vote change in November eh? Looks like Obummer is "stay the course" as well.

  • LOL, this video is actually from 2006. Still, I'm mostly happy with Obama. Anyone who thinks the troops were coming home the day after he took office just wasn't paying attention. Winding down a war can be much harder than getting one started.

  • America Stained

  • hi chrissy. how's brittney?

  • Well, we just have to hang in there for 10 more months or so! Then I think we may be a little more respected by the world once he is gone. But 10 months may seem like a damn eternity!

  • To: GW Bush

    Re: Stay the course

    Send your daughters.

    Sincerely

    -BlackNationals

  • NO SURPRISE ANYMORE- this P.O.S. has lied about everything. Remember the one about "NO nation-building". His arrogance and contempt for the American people leads him to believe we are all as stupid as he pretends to be as he tries to manipulate us. Now he's trying to force AMNESTY TO ILLEGALS on us in exchange for securing the borders.

Simply the WORST President ever - and I believed and voted for him in 2000. By '04 I realized what he is.

  • So you voted for Obama!?

  • No neeed for anyone to worry. The Ministry of Truth will be placing all clips of George W. Bush saying stay the course into memory holes.

  • Its so strange...does the man seriously not realize that the bullshit he says is recorded?

  • Well, listen, we've never been "stay the course", George. We have been, "We will complete the mission, we will do our job and help achieve the goal, but we're constantly adjusting the tactics" that is the extent of that portion GW is full of it. He is the worst flip flopper of them all. how does stay the course imply adjusting tactics. What does the word "is" mean again. god what an asshole

  • Most Americans believe that bush will be done and gone in 2008.

Bush has trump card to hang around for another four years...that's right! IRAN! When the nation is at war during an election year, the president remains in office for yet another term. LOL Dam we are so screwed.

  • That's not true. Remember Somalia?

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, zee but it's called The War Powers Act.

All Bush has to do is say that Iran attacked us and under The War Powers Act, he must defend the country.

When and if the threat has been eliminated, only then will he step aside as president.

Do some research on Third Term Presidents and you will see what I mean.

  • sorry to tell you to read a book or two, but warpowers act has nothing to do with giving the prez a third term. look it up. burst my bubble, hahahahahahahah douche

  • lol....he's such a dumbass...and one hell of an idiot.

  • Not Only is he an Idiot, but anyone who voted for him is to the last republican I voted for was Reagan and that was only because Mondale was worse.

  • This is footage taken from other sources, manipulated, titled and made to look 180 degrees from the original. Propaganda. Should be removed.

  • twentyfourfps: its not to be taken literal its a metaphor of what the president has become in addition to his failure of making promises to the american people, cant you understand that?

  • You people are all fucking retarded.

  • i think i got the point...didn't need to be repetitive, one time around was enough.

  • when bush said "stay the course", he was talking about Pebble Beach, not iraq.

  • lol

  • Right. Any so-called journalist worth his/her salt would/should stand up at any and every press "briefing" and call him a fucking liar. Any "confidential source" who tells the truth should stand up and proudly reveal his/her name for the well-being of the world.

  • All true conservatives should stand up and demand that these pseudo religous right wing extremists stop slandering them by using the name "conservative" in their pursuit of domination and control by any means necessary.

  • What's amazing is the media let's Bush and the other radical right extremists slide all of the time. Liberal media my butt. The media is made of right wingers.

  • It's not just the media. It's the people. It's our actions for 364 days out of the year ... and the 1 day, when we DON'T Vote - it's what we do when we're not on youTube watchin videos. Nothing... absolutely nothing.

Can't solve a problem that way.

  • John Kerry made him say that. Flip-flopper.

It is all Bill Clinton's fault.

  • How can republicans live with themselves?

  • wow as if 5 words is such a big deal. go watch that PBS show Frontline. learn something.

  • this country needs to draft these young republicans and see if their embracement of this president changes.

  • Stinks! God help us! At this point no one else can stop them. I hate to say this, but Hugo C. was right.

  • Oh yeah , please change the course vote for change !

Really Bush is the most stupid , asshole I´ve ever seen .

He has killed ( yes he ) 650.000 people in Irak .

  • America (re)elected him. The people's choice!

  • hehehe.. its actually kind of hard for me not to mention the "by the way, the whole world told you he is a f*ckin idiot 5 years ago" thing.. and @cataran65:

UK ≠ Europe. Actually it was just the UK that blindly followed the US and made themselves look like brainless fools.

  • Your a f**king genius! UK = Europe, and so do the 2400 troops from Poland, 1800 from Italy, 1345 Netherlands, 1300 Spain, 1050 Georgia, 865 Romania, 515 Denmark, 462 Bulgaria, 300 Czech R., 300 Hungary, 50 Lithuania, 46 Armenia, 36 Bosnia, 35 Estonia, 33 Macedonia, 150 Norway, 136 Latvia, 128 Portugal, 120 Albania, 130 Romania, 35 Denmark, 2 Iceland. All followers of a very dangerous and deceitful government. Gosh, you'd think Europeans would be A LITTLE PISSED????

  • my dear, i'm from germany.

  • It doesn't matter where you're from. You stated it was "just the UK that blindly followed". Very inaccurate statement. The list I gave you is of Euro. nations that also blindly followed Bush and it doesn't stop there.

  • I need to admit - you are right, it was not only the UK. And actually it was just France and Germany refusing to military support bush.

Anyway, the UK sent like 10000 troops and represented the major political support for usa, at least from europe.

  • is there anything this guy doesn't lie about?

  • Bush is the greatest America's hero of all time!!

  • YAY FOR NATIONALISM!

  • your mad!

  • Americans are very easily manipulated, and are borderline on stupidity. Worse part is, Europeans are no better...blindly following us into a war that was all made up for corporate convenience. Parents need to start teaching their children that they don't need to shed their blood in Iraq or anyplace else when their government continually lies to the people. We cannot support liars.

  • Vote!

  • "Americans are not an easy people to manipulate" ha, ha,..sorry (I'm from UK) - there are basically 2 America's,the clued up ones on each coast and the, er, "others" in the middle.I lived in NY for 5 yrs & when I visited the mid west it was like going to another country. The difference in intellect was staggering.I think the word you use is Redneck? Saying these people are not easy to manipulate is like saying Father Xmas really exists - only the young or feeble minded might actually believe you!

  • well, I feel the same way and I live in America. The less people know the easier they are to control. Thats why Republicans won't adequately fund our education system. We'll get America back on track! Right America?

  • Sorry to disagree with you but there is only so much that can be ignored. Americans are not an easy people to manipulate. Americans are not instruments to be played by government officials. You can't hide an elephant under the rug.

  • ROFL

  • Hook, line, and sinker. Manipulating Bush haters is easier than fish in a bucket. Good God you people are simple. Do you eat everything that gets shoved towards your mouth? Do you like being puppets? Nothing against you guys personally, but you really look silly here. Who cares if the clip isn't complete? Are you serious? Hate and rage can blind a person to even the faintest of lights.

  • As I said, I saw the whole interview, plus Tony Snow's spinjob the next day. "Stay the course" was a rhetorical trick designed to trap Democrats into supporting Bush or appearing to "cut and run". Turns out, given that choice, the majority of voters would rather cut and run. Now they're pretending they meant things they never said to get out of a trap of their own making. Bush trumpted "stay the course" for two years, now he can enjoy having it crammed back down his throat.

  • Red, that wasn't a reply to you, or it would have been listed as a reply to you. However, if you listened to the whole thing, and you still think he was saying "I never said stay the course", then you are even worse than the one I was responding to. Bush could say "the sky is blue" and you people would see a cloud and say "he's lying!", or say that he bargained with God to get the sky blue to influence the election. You people are like children fighting over a crayon.

  • And if I actually said "Bush claimed he said 'I never said stay the course'", you'd have a point, but since I didn't, you're just attacking a strawman. Typical for a Bush apologist, who can't very well defend his man on his merits. As I have said TWICE before in this thread, Bush is now claiming "stay the course" actually means something totally different. His exact words, actually, are were "We've never been 'stay the course'", and Tony Snow had to "explain" it the next day.

  • (continued)

But since you're so smart and the rest of us are just Bush hating stooges being led around by the liberal media, why don't YOU tell us what he actually meant and support it with Bush's actual words. The entire transcipt is available on Crooks and Liars. Quote the "context" which makes this anything but a ham-fisted retcon. Go on. I'm waiting.

  • (continued) ...So you're way off base there too. It also wouldn't matter in the slightest what I said or tried to explain. People who believe they've seen a UFO can't be reasoned with about weather balloons, so it would be fruitless and a waste of time. If you hadn't completely broad brush painted me instantly with your words, you might have actually learned something. Sad.

  • Before I respond, I feel it's only fair to point out YouTube has apparently eaten the first half of your reply. Kindly repost it so I can reply to your comment in full.

  • It really doesn't matter. There's no hope for someone like monkjc, someone that witnesses a typical bush flip-flop and denies that's what it is. Other bush flip-flops: "i'll fire anyone involved in the CIA leak", "condi won't testify to the 9/11 comission", "iraq had nothing to do with 9/11"... wake up!

  • I suspect it doesn't matter either (the part that did get posted is deeply unpromising), but it would be bad form to hammer on someone when potentially explanatory context is missing.

  • Stay the course means killing more Americans every day. Stay the course means killing more than 650,000 citizens of Iraq. Bush is a chicken hawk. Bush is an asshole. Elect Democrats and change the course.

  • Imagine that... one of the three people in the world that still trusts Bush actually got on the internets and found the way to this page! Probably had help from the google. Those of us who have been awake and not living on a diet of lies from Faux news know he's a liar. We are not suprised that he lied again, only that he didn't realize that the cameras have been on the whole time that he has been catapulting the propaganda for the last 6 years.

  • God is always with liberals!!

  • I'm not a big one to get into "paternal monotheistic deities" but wouldn't any form of "God" be with everyone?

just checking...I'm more of a ignostic (wiki that)...

  • Has never been about "stay the course"? Stay the course has been the president's mantra since things started to go south in Iraq. Does he honestly believe people have such short memories that they won't remember he used that mantra in every speech he has given about Iraq? What kind of idiots does he take us for? Who could believe anything that comes out of his mouth? He has to be one of the most ignorant human beings alive.

  • Heh.

if stay the course means war profiteering, I think we are going to stay the course.

Jarhead, I do think people have "selective memory".

These guys take us for "all kinds" of idiots. many people here in the south lap that "bring 'em on" stuff up...

...thank you for your service to our country, BTW.

  • This idiocy can't be real. This is all a facade.

  • Yeah I've listened enough to this fuck. The only reason there is BUSH lover responses, cuz half of them have have no internet hook up in there fuckn' trailers. Plausible deniablity = BUSH and his admisistratiion. For once stop playin' us like fuckn' idiots. Oh wait that's only the extreme right.

  • Frankly, who cares if this clip isn't complete. I'm so fed up with Bush's lies, WMD anyone? that I don't even care anymore. I want to move on. No more lies. No more Bush.

  • You people are showing how easy it is for you to be manipulated by the media and other morons. Listen to the whole interview, put down your Bush hatred and think with your mind instead of your ass.

  • I DID see the interview, and anyone who claims this is anything but a desparate rewriting of history is simply lying. Bush claims, in short, that "stay the course" actually means "stay in Iraq but adjust your strategy as the situation changes". Which anyone who can read knows is nonsense, unless "flail around like a helpless idiot" counts as a change in strategy. This is rhetoric that's backfired, nothing more.

  • Another flip-flop from George WMD Bush. First it's make-believe WMDs, then make-believe link between Saddam and Al-Qaeda, now make-believe that he hasn't pushed a "stay the course" mantra for 2 years.

    The Great Misleader.

  • QueenAndias: denial is a river in Egypt..

  • Wow, George Bush becomes a bigger idiot everyday.

  • robbym48 = conspiracy theorist = idiot

Bush isn't cold and calculating. Just an average guy.

  • An average guy that got us into a trillion dolalr cebt, got thousands killed AND turned the world against us. Yeah...he's one average guy. :/

  • I'm pretty sure that's what an average guy would do, unintentionally, if elected to office. Run on 'values' and screw up the country. I'm "staying the course" on this one. Bush is only 'malicious' as a byproduct of his idiocy.

  • To JobC. He is not naive. He is cold and calculating. You are naive if you don,t believe that.

  • I personally don't know how anyone with a brain can defend this man or his policies. It sure makes you believe in the power of indoctrination or mass hypnosis. What goes on with these crazy people? Good luck everybody with the coming election. Maybe sanity will prevail!

  • He must believe we are all retarded. I can't believe our president is so naive.

  • Queen, I saw the entire interview, and that is NOT what he said, you are as big a liar as Bush is, and a disgrace to the country

  • So, what exactly does "stay the course" mean to you?

To me it is to defend the country from Terrorists, not start a Democracy in Iraq.

  • I don't think we should have gone into Iraq the way we did, and now there's no good way out. We should have given the governments over there a time to give Binladden to us or we start turning where ever we think he might be into a parking lot! I guarentee you they would have found him for us. Now, we can't do that in our politicaly correct world, but we should have. That doesn't mean I'm gonna bash Bush for everything. It's easy for dems to look back and say we shoulda done whatever.

  • What he's saying is way over your head. I know it's not easy for you to understand, but the phrase "stay the course", does mean different things. I know you just hate Bush and it's a fun clip to put together because you can laugh at how he talks and his accent, but you should just have fun doing that, and not try to pretend you know anything about what he's really saying. Thanks

  • STAY to spend some time in a place, in a situation, with a person or group, etc.

THE used before adjectives that are used substantively, to note an individual, a class or number of individuals, or an abstract idea.

COURSE a particular manner of proceeding.

Now explain to me how "Stay the Course" can mean anything other than doing exactly what we have been doing.

  • It's a pithy catch-phrase, and Bush has decided not to use it anymore (apparently, this sort of crap counts for "rethinking policy"). There's not "over our heads" about it. It's just that Bush seems to have a pathology that prevents him from admitting a mistake. Even if that mistake has been committed in the public. On national television. Dozens of times.

  • he is saying that all the liberals and people have never been stay the course thats

why he said "WE" he has stayed the course even though people slander and distort what

he is saying every time he says anything because if you actually listened to what he said

with an OPEN MIND you would agree with him but all you see is your blind hatred for a

    republican president

  • Oh I see, so what he's saying is that he's a liberal?

Let's face it, QueenAndais, anyone who still defends this guy (and isn't paid to do it) is as nutty as a Scientologist or a member of a UFO Cult. There's nothing this man could say or do that would convince you he's a dishonest crook. He could eat a baby on national T.V. and you guys would insist that liberals are making much ado about nothing.

  • Like republicans have shown any respect to the dems since they took over in 94. You make half hearted please for bipartisanship and then turn around and call us traitors and cowards. Do you really expect us to work with you when all the while you are trying to destroy our party.

  • I had an open mind after 911, but unfortunately the republicans wanted to divide this country over issues like abortion, gay rights, stem cell research, flag burning etc.. Instead of uniting the country and concentrating on a war which is more important than all of those issues combined. Not to mention all the lies which he has told the American people. It seems that your "OPEN MIND" is only open to things you want to hear.

  • By all means keep an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out. The White House has announced that they will no longer use the phrase "stay the course". They will of course, replace it with some other simplistic and vacuous ditty aimed squarely at you and your ilk. For them this passes as "strategy".

  • You are absolutely brainwashed and insane. This asshole's done more to ruin international relationships, world peace, the environment, and the US economy than anyone in US history. Fuck this piece of shit. 2008 can't come soon enough.

  • Queen- all I hear from you is "blah blah blah I support a fascist regime because I'm an anti-American traitor". It's not about "libs and dems". It's about traitors and patriots, and you're on the wrong side in this one...

  • he did a good job and he should be praised not slandered he made the right decisions to

protect us because clinton wouldnt do anything to prevent 9/11 from happening when he was

    told it was a problem

  • And just what did GWB do to try and prevent 911, nothing. You ask for us to stop hating Bush and then you attack Clinton. You are a hypocrite. At least Clinton tried, you know things like catching and prosecuting the people responsible for the bombing of the WTC, and launching air strikes against OBL. It's to bad that republicans were more interested in the Presidential Penis than protecting America.

  • Bush gutted the 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th amendments as well as habeas corpus. Bush lied our country into an invasion & occupation that has turned into a trillion $ disaster, needlessly killing 1000s of US troops & 100,000s of Iraqi civilians. Bush has grown government more than twice as fast as Clinton & we have NOTHING to show for it -- just one disaster after another. Iraq has made us less safe & Katrina proved that they cannot respond or even rebuild over here, much less over there.

  • Did a good job? At what, fucking everything up? Wasting resources, money, and human lives attacking a country that was ZERO threat to us?

You're still talking about Clinton? Give me a fucking break, moron. Remember that memo that Bush was given in the summer of 01? Let's see... what was it called... Hmmm. Oh yeah: "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE WITHIN U.S." What did your pal Bush do about it? He was too busy handing out favors to his cronies and corporate/industrial buddies to notice.

  • Clinton was NEVER told about 9/11, and neither was Bush!! Bush did NOTHNG to prevent it! What the hell guy. Learn some facts.

  • why put up bush hate when it is a sure thing that he cannot be president again HE CANNOT RUN FOR MORE THAN 2 TERMS =8 YEARS lib idiot

  • Tell me, QueenAndais, why do you justify this guy flat out lying to us? Doesn't it bother you that your President would tell such a bald-faced lie to an interviewer? A lie that everyone in the country *knows* is a lie? I mean, is the guy *really* that stupid?

  • lolol

  • I can't believe there are people who still think he's doing a good job!

  • i just wish we could hear the rest of his sentence. he might explain for something.

  • I fucking Hate Bush wish such a passion that it makes me a bad Christian. I suppose only God can forgive me because I will never forgive this man.

  • then how can god forgive you?

  • Good job on the clip. Thanks.

Bush is the enemy occupation that needs to be defeated.

    F-ing disgrace to the position.

  • Awesome. Commercial quality.

  • Nice job. Did you have to search transcripts in order to locate the appropriate video clip? This must have taken some time to research and compile.

And, yes. I am tired of being lied to.

  • I ran a search on YouTube and found a DCCC sponsored video with a compilation of "stay the course" clips. That's where I got them from.

  • smart move! good job dsf3g!!
