Airsoft makes no sense at all. Why buying a lets say Minimi aeg when the average dude with an m4 can shoot faster than anything on earth? And what about 300 rounds magazines?
@TheBelva85 that is wrong. the average guy with an m4 is shooting 10-18 rps. a minimi is shooting 16-20. there are very few people who have the time and money to build a gun like this, and they also have to fix it every couple months, so many choose to keep there gun shooting around 400 or less with 20 or less rps
Maybe i'm right with my question here: I have a special Gearbox, and i cant get aftermarket shells for it, but i want to use 8mm Ball Bearings. Can i cut 8mm holes in the 7mm Gearbox, for 8mm BallBearingss to fit? I have a precision static drill, and i'm a perfectionist. I will fit Kanzen 8mm Ceramic Bearings in it.
@andromedarr there are people in hong kong in most shops who do 8mm for people with 6mm or 7mm gearboxes, they charge around 30 usd... so what i'm saying is, it can be and is wildly done.. a pillar drill should be good enough but i guess you should go slow downwards but on a high speed setting to avoid chipping around the edges? use oil as well when you drill obviously even though it's just aluminium. i'm sure you've got it sorted anyway.
yeah i play a ton of CQB but alot of Field as well (woodland). I use the systema m4 because it has the drop in gearbox set which is AWSOME. When i play CQB ill take off my barrel extension and put my turbo config gearbox in. In woodland ill put my stock gearbox it came with.

that is the glory of a highspeed setup. They do eat pistons since they hit the piston's expected lifespan much faster, not just because it is fast and it wears faster. It does wear probably 1% faster, more prob, but not very much. I was in awe too when I saw the vid of the 46 rps aeg, and the 75 rps strafer, and the 120 rps flamethrower.
if it is in the fps limits of the country, of course it would be legal. They don't limit rof, or if you dumped a can of bbs onto the ground you would be arrested for too high of a rof, (lol) or littering if they wern't bio.

I happen to be very safe and I promote safe use of firearms. So I wouldnt be playing with it like airsoft or paintball. Though it can be used for hunting,home defense,plinking, target shooting,competition. Instead of shooting it at your friends you take your friend out to the range or to your shooting spot and hit some targets and see who can shoot better.
Thats true, i agree with you for all of those usages and i compete in rifelry events sometimes, but for simulating military events or just messing around in the backyard airsoft is great, although this gun isnt really a simulation as it shoots more like a minigun :)

no its a airsoft replica of an ar15. A h&k 416 is manufacturer and model of the ar 15 and m16. Well the only difference between a regular ar15 is that the 416 uses a gas piston system instead of the regular gas tube(on the real rifles).
At those speeds the piston would have failed and stripped causing a major meltdown in the gearbox. If it were going at those speeds the gears would catch the piston before it even hits the front of the gearbox.
