Little Italy, New York

I lived in NYC for three years during the Hell that is law school. Little Italy is VERY tiny and not necessarily anything to write home about, per se. Nevertheless, I always kind of liked it for some reason. It just has a sort of down-to-earth, cozy feel to it. It's nice.

it's cool, it seems like it's more a touristic place than a real neighborhood.

i hope they will do something to avoid that little italy get destroyed by chinatown.

i like chinese ppl but that neighborhood is a piece of story of NYC and in my opinion must be preserved.

To be honest Quandore it is too late and it is not just Chinatown. The real isue is gentrified boutique land. Little Italy is actually a three block Restaurant row on Mulberry between Broome and Canal and will probably survive as such because there is a big tourist income for the 40 or so restaurants.

I was in NYC in 2000 and was very disappointed in Little Italy. It was as she said in this video being over run by China Town. It seems yet again the symptom of "White Flight" has happened. Hardly anyone of European decent stick together any more. Once some bad elements move in the neighborhood everyone starts yelling "time to move!". Sad...very sad. Oh and for any libtards out there I am not suggesting Chinese are bad elements. I am sure you know what I mean.

Hey!!....cool video. I love Little Italy in Manhattan. I was just in New York last weekend and I had a blast there. We went to Lombardi's but it was way to crowded so we walked around and stopped in a place on Spring St. and Mulberry. I think it was called Spring Street Tavern or something like that. Anyways...Little Italy still remains one of the best neighborhoods in New York.....cheers!!
