It also feels to me now it's just a place for Valve to just dump their promotional crap without any thought/care to sell other games better.

Instead of a heavy rush, I prefer Ride of the Valkyries with an entire platoon of dive bombing soldiers going "SCREAMING EAGLES!". It is, after all, often associated with aerial assaults.

@trikitiger Well recently, I believe that the voice codecs for Team Fortress 2 have changed, and thus HLDJ and HLSS may not work anymore. And even if the server still used the old codecs, they have to have a console command turned on or something anyway, which these days is VERY rare except for those servers that tend to be a little...wacky. It was a sad day for mic spammers that day :(

@KarinMikazuki With Virtual Audio Cables, use a normal audio player (like Windows Media Player) or anything else where you can change the player's audio output.

1) Set it's audio output to Virtual Cable 1

2) Set your mic on Steam (and TF2) to Virtual Cable 1

3) Find/get/create a script that toggles your mic with a button (Mine's set to F1)

4) Play music with a normal audio player

5) Profit :3

This process is a bit clunky, but I have a hotkey-keyboard, and IT WORKS
