to Ryand Jorden if you want to know more about the book just go to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . the book is another testament of jesus christ, it was not made up , the catholic churches do not belive in it dunno why but our church explains why were here on earth and what our purpose is here. if u have any questions just ask any of our missionaries theyd be more than happpy to explain!! :)

Sometimes the critiques just remind me of those that led The Chronicles of Narnia being banned/burned for paganism. If people just tried to understand eachother and read the book to the end rather than being blinded by prejudice they would have got so much more out of it than enmity towards something they don't fully understand.
I can't imagine what kind of situation would cause you to take such extreme action but I feel sorry for you. I still don't think you understand what I was pointing out though.
As for evidence, there aren't any original copies of the bible that you can examine for yourself either. And do you really think that anyone connected with the Book of Mormon's translation could have written this history in their lifetime?
Can you honestly imagine an author of that day, or ours, writing such a masterpiece in such a short time? I say, if people truly believe that this is a false record than they should at least acknowledge Joseph Smith as one of the greatest writer's of the 19th century? Pick one or the other.
@CaptainBlood13 Where does one start? Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, James Joyce, Shakespeare, hell, even Norman Mailer. Joe's work sucks and it's lies. These other guys wrote fiction and it's real! Feels real, based on reality, seems real. Mormonism seems, well, fishy. Wrap your fish in Mormon paper.
I guess they did not learn their lesson from the failure of the book of mormon video? That thing was a complete FLOP, and this one look about the same caliber.
I hope that it does make more folks realize the facade of the whole book of mormon story and its racist past that stems from the book of mormon story written by Sidney Rigdon and Joe Smith.
I don't think you should base your opinion of any religion on low budget films. Or strange misconceptions. Anyone planning on dedicating their life to something, be it a religion or a job, wouldn't do so without at least looking it up on an "official" website or wikipedia. Why in the world would one particular religion be an exception?
I don't want to start an argument but spreading misconceptions is detrimental to everyone, be it about the Book of Mormon, the War in Iraq or even the relationship of the neighbor next-door. If you don't have information from both sides of the argument then you don't really have any information at all, do you?

The Book of Mormon is just as much fantasy and fiction as The Chronicles of Narnia. Yet Mormons try to pass their book of as FACTUAL history.
If that is the case, then where is evidence?
I was a full fledged member of this religion, served a mission, married in the temple, etc, etc...
Then I realized what a fraud it all is and got my wife and children out.
