He doesn't scream like most people do, he screams from the back of his throat, not exhale or inhale. That is why it has a very "wet" or for lack of a better term, "salivay" sound to it.

@organtendency Dont get me wrong, i love atreyu, but i must agree. and Alex was never trained professionally. If you hear in any live song, he'll sorta sing some of the lines and then scream them and so on. Probably cause he cant breathe. I'll say it's decent but it could be better. :)

Generally the 3 bass drums is for looks. Most bands roll with at least 2 because a double pedal doesn't allow the mallet parts to hit the center of the drum so it's not quite a perfect sound. That being said however, Some bands like Avenged Sevenfold roll with 3 bass drums because some of their songs actually roll with a different tuned bass drum. You'd be surprised what having one bass drum off-tuned from another can sound like. If you get it right it sounds really sick.
