the system managed to maintain the brain activity for about three weeks although the body of the man was already dead. This may sound shocking, but but the doctors got into contact with the head. The head could not speak, as it had no throat. but the doctors could read its lips and saw that the head realized everything that happened to it.
i have read somewhere that In the mid-1970s, Two neurosurgeons from Germany Walner Kraiter and Henry Courige managed to sustain life in an amputated human head within 20 days, the man was taken to hospital after the traffic accident, he was 40 year old.The man's life could not be saved as his head was almost completely cut off the body.
Under those conditions, the neurosurgeons decided to maintain life in the brain of the victim. Life support system was connected to the head.
You know because they ACTUALLY help people. Sorry I couldn't resist that, but its just hard to respect religion when they diss real heroes. I wouldn't say this is heroic, but it's still leading ways for curing diseases, transplants, and many other health problems. That's just in the health department.
Imagine being there, and seeing the dog before, during, and after the procedure. It would be pretty cool to see all the effects that the experiment had on things like the memory, how the dog behaves, and it's general attitude towards different things compared to what it's attitude was before the procedure.
they didnt mention on the lack of oxigen on the blod cells actually create rapid extermination of the neurons so they problably dogs that have revived, but retarded dogs lol.
@rcweinkauf93 i know i did see that part first. what i ment is, by the time they revive the creature the brain is already dead or close to it. i think from the time that they operate to put the machines in the creature it problably lost most of the memory or brain cells that used to make this dog unique when it was alive.
the brain cells die... so it would leave to brain damage... but it depends on the time the dog spends dead... anyway the documentary is interesting...
I'm gonna try this on my pet dog tonight...if it works I am gonna try it on my pet monkey, but i will probably let its body chill down in a freezer and see if i can preserve higher cortical function depriving it of blood for say thirty minutes then see if infusion of antifreeze actually can preserve cellular function for even longer period with and without hypothermia...if it all works out, who knows, maybe i will get some youtubers to volunteer...
watA DOCUEMNTADO NO ES MENTIRA ES EL SIMPLE ACTO DE FLUIDOS NO SE REVIVE IMPLEMENTE SE REANIMA KE NO ES LO MISMO QUE REVIVIR ES RELATIVAMENTE FACVIL DE HACER HOI EN DIA SE HACE EN TODOS SITIOS MANTENER EN SUSPENSIOIN UNA VIA NO ES TAN GRAN COSA

So this may work for dogs ..in that they can be revived after 15 minutes but a human brain is far more complex and uses more oxygen and other vital fluids than a dog brain I have seen a Video in Iran of doctors keepin the head of a suicide bomber alive When they poked it it showed signs that it was annoyed, when they sed its name it opened its eyes and looked at them The point im making is you could keep a human head alive if it is put straight onto life suport but It cant be dead for ovr 9 mins
This set of videos are great, it just shows how far we don't realize we are along in medicine. People just need to get over not believing they are just a living being.
People are really getting crazy!!! They will kill then will try to survive a living creature! What is the purpose of your experiment?! You can kill someone... but wait, you are only allowed 10 minutes then give life again?! Death is actually freedom! With the rate of earth now a days?! Who would want to live and stay here on earth where crazy people surrounds you?! Come to think of it!
just b/c we're told by government enforced cover-ups that everything is braindead after 10 minutes, doesn't mean that that is entirely true either. there are alot of experiments just like this video that the government tries to hide.
Just b/c we're told by the government enforced cover-ups that we're pulled to the Earth by the help of gravity, doesn't mean that that is entirely true. Also, it doesn't look to me like this video was made to be hidden from the public. It seems more like the video of a lying government to me.
Positively horrifying... If this was possible in the 1940's, imagine what they're capable of now and not showing us... And if you honestly believe they haven't tried this on humans I hope you find a great deal of solace in your ignorance. Who wants to wake, after death no less, as a severed head on a table...
They indeed are doing this on humans. thats how a brain aneurysm surgery is being performed, by draining the blood, cooling the body down doing the surgery, and then pumping the blood back
I'm not gonna lie, if they'd be able to keep a man conscious and capable of communication... That would be FUCKING amazing. It would be almost exactly like Mars Attacks, and Tim Burton's the fucking man! I believe the question you meant to ask was who WOULDN'T want to wake up as a severed head on a table? (assuming they can maintain your body and put it back together with minimal scarring...)
No, i meant precisely what I said. this video is positively horrifying. That coming from someone who has frequent bouts of sleep paralysis. Waking up anywhere unable to move with no control of your body is a terrifying experience, and that's with your body attached. Like i also mentioned, if they were doing this to animals in the forties, I know for a fact it's has been done to humans by now. Second of all, that is clearly not the same dog in the films end.
Well, the human brain is far more complex than a dog's, it needs more resources. Chances are, if they revive your dead body, it would be just that. The brain damage caused by death would "erase" all your memories and everything that makes you unique, rendering your body as just a lump of flesh that has reflexes. And that's not taking into consideration the other damages caused by death, cell death would lead to, say, blindness of the revived head and so on.
@ReikaiDemon If it was done fast enough, or a way was found to properly conserve the cells from decay after the oxygen supply was stopped, then I would imagine that it would basically end up like either you would wake up mentally challenged, or all of your memories would be wiped clean. To see the effects on memory, it should probably be done with a distinct thing that the dog remembers, like a ringing bell or a certain smell, then after revival a test be performed to see if the dog still reacts
@vortigauntfan Well, it is possible, there was a story of how soldiers captiured a suicide bomber in the Middle East, postmortem. The bomber was just a head, yet, when he was revived, he was very annoyed, and responded to his name being called. Although, it might be a rumor. It could also be possible by inducing a controlled hypothermia to reduce the damage enough that minimal brain damage would occur. Futurama head jars may be possible.
@DemonI would think that it would be hard for us soldiers to revive the head of a suicide bomber. The pressure that has enough force to cleave a head off the body is more than likely going to cause a shitload of damage to the brain, and much less that he would even live long enough to react, and for the soldiers to know his name. I do not know, so is memory a part of the brain like in the cells, because until now I've been assuming that memory and thought are just the tiny sparks in the head.

Cool,
well I think we should see the procedure as a Kick-start engine.
If you'd use it on somebody who dies of age... it would soon happen again.
However if someone got in an accident, and needed the short sustain of life to regain its own strength.. this could work.
its strikingly interesting how simple yet mind-blowing this experiment is

An example could be the brain aneurysm surgery. Also don't forget the life support.
