  • beautiful video, really brings out a nostalgic feeling in me, can u please tell me wat the repetitive lyrics in the song mean mean?

  • very beutyfull . i m indian . May Lord bless bangladesh with peace and prosperity.

  • punjabi folk...

  • Anyone have the name of this beautiful song???

  • Amazing! Very beautiful!

I wish you put a Bangla song, this song is Punjabi.

I bet there are many beautiful Bangla songs around, which you can hook up with this vid.

    Cheers!

  • Hello,

I'm not writing to debate anything, I just wanted to say, what a beautiful song and beautiful pics, WHAT"S THE NAME OF THE SONG?

I'm American and I love to visit my inlaws in Bangladesh every year, one of my favorite places.

  • hammad, u know its hard to wake up a person who is pretending to be sleeping, you are the epitomy that describes the independence of Bangladseh. If you fled Bangladesh, you are probably a rajakar, so don't pretend to speak for Bengalis in one hand and call them "scums." Do us a favor, stay in your Pakistan and leave us alone.

  • keep religion out of politics, and you will see the truth. Bangladesh was created by Bengalis to liberate themselves against tyranny of Pakistani feudalistic military junta and self identity which transcends religion. However, morons like 1mohan, who is obcessed with hating muslims with false comments, wil never understand what Bangladesh is. We are Muslims, Hindus, Bhuddists, christians, but we can all sit in a room without animostiy because we are BENGALIS. Live with it.

  • if you scums would ever have been left out in india then no bengladesh existed today. you so called liberation came out of our struggle and sacrifices for independence.

  • "our struggle and sacrifices for independence"

You do understand that people who struggled and sacrificed, did it for an independent India, right?

It's only later that a decision was made (after it was decided the British would leave) that India be partitioned and a Muslim majority Pakistan and a secular Indian state would be created. Bangladesh still didn't exist as a state. It was East Paki.

Bangladeshis liberated themselves, West Pakistan had nothing to do with it. It was their own struggle.

  • yaah you big mouth, why dont you make a united west and east bengal???, if you are not so dumb as you appear now???

  • hummadthegreat dumbass,

There is no East Bengal anymore.. forgotten already? Or simply chose to ignore the fact?

And one humble suggestion, attend history classes!!

  • @hammadthegreat

You obviously have no appreciation of us bengalis. I am from West Bengal and an Indian, but that does not dilute my identity as a Bengali. We may be two nations, and we may be split between two religions, but our common linguistic, cultural & ethnic identity means much much more to us. We Bengalis in West Bengal bear towards our brothers accross the border in Bangladesh, more love and regard than for anyone else

  • this is clear from the fact that the todays bengladeshi anthem itself is written by an indian.

  • Comment removed

  • hammad, so your point is? Bangladesh's national anthem is one of the most beautiful anthems in the world, written by a Nobel prize winning BENGALI, yes i said a BENGALI...prior to partition of the subcontinent. The anthem is about Bangla and it people, and only a Bengali can appreciate the words of the Anthem.

  • @drmakhalid

You are so absolutely true. I am from West Bengal. An Indian yes, but every bit a Bengali too. My grandfather came to calcutta in the 40s from Comilla. and just as the most special place in our hearts are reserved from our brothers in Bangladesh, the national anthem too touches our hearts, and sometimes makes us poignant thinking how sad it is that whereas when Rabindranath wrote it, we are one people, today we are broken into two nations with so little mutual interaction

  • since the west wing was so far from bengla, they couldnt save the east wing.

  • ""Subjected to political and linguistic discrimination as well as economic neglect at the hands of West Pakistan, the Bengalis of East Pakistan declared independence in 1971.""

this is such a false discription. the bengali people were not discrimated linguistically or culturally, yes there were "some" economic issues but not so distinct. bengladesh was formed when india helped some bengali separatist. my family lived in bangla till 1971 and they say bengali ppl never wanted benladesh.

  • You have this moral preacher (pakistani4lyfee) with his moral shit but yet he has HIS CHANNEL FULL OF PORN AND HATE...

You are a fake, who is looking to cause trouble by pretending to be muslim - imposter!

  • You think everybody other than Muslims go to Hell, well, Islam was formed only 1400 years before, whats before that?...what you guys where doing? everybody lined up for hell?ha ha ha, just think before u say anything. nobody thinks, atleast a hindu never thinks other than hindus everybody go to Hell, why u guys are thinking like that. Dont hate others first. Respect others belief and let them live in peace. You pakis f***ed the muslims in Balngladesh and u say that islam comes 1st. Good joke

  • okay fine, i give up. useless to talk to you guys. u think whatever you want. Meet you in hell. :)

  • u muslims make me sick, this palestine thing is just a politicalised islamically because the greedy dollar arabs r weak and they need poor muslims, some of the poorest in the world, to fight for them!!!!!!!!!!

• i dont care where i am going to be after deadth(if hell and heaven exists!), but while living i dont want to hurt fellow human beings, weather it is a muslim or hindu i dont care, for me they are human beings like me.

You don't even care for fellow Shias, do you think u will go to heaven?, if at all it exist?. you can't even love ur brother, how can you go to heaven? even u r god Allah will not accept this u fool. Anyway, may god bless you.

  • So dont think what you believe is right.

  • ok, leave that, in first gulf war, Saudi arabia was the base for US so that it can kill innocent muslims in Iraq. I guess Saudi is also a hard core muslim nation. Where is the islam brotherhod bro.? i am a hindu kaffir i accept that. But for me country comes first. And again, if somebody is not accepting my religion and my other ideology i dont blame them and i dont call them as kaffir and i dont say that they will go to hell. Everybody knows how to live and what to follow.

  • Paki...just let these people to be innocent...don't spread the hate message. Lets be humans first.

  • you are a dumbass hindu kaffir! we are muslims first. This video by showing "Hindus" disgracing Islam.

  • oh..Muslims comes first..hmm..let me look back about the muslim brotherhood, how many muslim womens were raped and how many muslims were killed in 1971 in bangladesh by pak. military?, well you know it. okay leave that, how many people died in the iran and iraq conflict. i guess both are muslim nations., okay leave that also, what happened in the 6 day war against israel in 1948., egypt, cyria, jordan the so called muslims countries shared the Palestine,

  • man.. i really love this video. I have been to many countries but, I have never seen a country as green as Bangladesh (I am not being biased).

There's a slight inaccuracy in your description (it doesn't matter though). Bangladesh in 1947 was called Eastern Bengal with its other side was West Bengal (which is today a province in India). East Bengal was renamed to East Pakistan in 1956, not in 1947.

Thanks for this amazing video. God Bless.

  • Thank you so much for the correction .. no It does matter .. I will make the correction immediately! Much appreciated!

  • I was in Dhaka in the early 90's just for a couple of days and I was much impressed by the poverty and miserable existence of the local population.

Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world, but it is also the "reign" of the Royal Bengal Tiger. It has the largest mangrove forest in the world and a marvelous flora and fauna (and happy beautiful people too).
