There's a slight inaccuracy in your description (it doesn't matter though). Bangladesh in 1947 was called Eastern Bengal with its other side was West Bengal (which is today a province in India). East Bengal was renamed to East Pakistan in 1956, not in 1947.

I was in Dhaka in the early 90's just for a couple of days and I was much impressed by the poverty and miserable existence of the local population.
Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world, but it is also the "reign" of the Royal Bengal Tiger. It has the largest mangrove forest in the world and a marvelous flora and fauna (and happy beautiful people too).

I was in Dhaka in the early 90's just for a couple of days and I was much impressed by the poverty and miserable existence of the local population.
Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world, but it is also the "reign" of the Royal Bengal Tiger. It has the largest mangrove forest in the world and a marvelous flora and fauna (and happy beautiful people too).

The world is so many beautiful places and peoples, if only there was more peace and understanding and less greed and selfishness... and less meddling with cultures unless there are obvious harmful elements.. it would be nice to be able to travel more and see it all, without all the dangers and problems.. get well, earth :) fast!
