I think you didn't see the first episodes of season 3. All the demons, including Azazel, were humans once. It doesn't matter if you did good of bad things in your life. In Supernatural it is stated that anyway you will go to hell and become a demon as the centuries pass. Despite being a good father and determined hunter, John Winchester went to hell.
she said she was a human "back when the plague was big" so mabey she became a witch to try and survive the plague and to help others survive it not just to be evil, did u think of dat?
Yeah, we have to deal with Dean going to Hell if Sam does nothing and don't forget; the YED demon wanted Sam to lead the demonic army, so Sam will be going to Hell as well. So, no, I do not like the idea of Sam going to Hell on "Just because".
