This is common now days with intelligent people on Death Toll when the survivors try to take to the water. I can snipe the whole team with just concrete slabs. Concrete slabs I pull out of a wooden balcony o.O

that way to avoid this is for the survivors to just go behind the pier in the water that the boat arrives at. when they're in the water and behind the pier, its really difficult to hit them with slabs. if you try to hit them from the side, then they just adjust and go around the other side of the pier.

Doesn't work. That is assuming you don't have other infected harassing you. That dock doesn't serve very as good protection from the rocks. The best way to beat the tank in Death Toll is to out muscle it with fast damage. A tank in the open is easily defeated just take him to the front of the house. Odds are actually more in your favor that way. Who really cares anymore though since L4D2 is now out and is really damn good lol.

whats a demoui file? i use fraps to record a demo playback. run fraps, run game, shift-f2, pick demo recording, press record button for fraps

Not a very good tank imo, He hit a few easy rocks at the beginning but missed the easiest rocks throughout the whole thing, If he were an experienced player he would know to aim higher rather than putting the crosshair right on the survivor. And def not going in at the right times lol.

Basically, the molly game mechanic for the tank is:

If the tank is on fire, a death timer of 30-40 seconds begins. During that time, fire does no damage to it.

Once that time is up, the tank immediately dies, regardless of how much health it has.

So, you just molly the tank, then run around for a minute until it passes, making it a very small threat in some circumstances.

What you explained happens only in Campaign mode. It was patched such that, in Versus, when the tank is on fire he in fact moves slower and does take damage over time from it. In Campaign, he moves much faster and takes no damage until instant death, like you said. And, much like melee fatigue, this also happens in Survival.

tried this before... could only happen in a public game, a good team of survivors would probably also hide in the cornfield and/or flame you or just come at you, or shoot the rocks out of the sky

but on the steam community forums, it is said that damage is the same for all areas. exceptions are shotguns point blank range 5x damage multiplier for all characters.

the best bet IMO is to make your silhouette smaller by taking hits facing sideways.
